2nd generation native vertical sensing
The DJI RS 4 has a newly designed horizontal plate that supports native vertical sensing with faster and easier operation. Without the need for additional accessories, you can simply release the horizontal plate and lock it into the vertical position to easily switch to vertical capture.

2nd generation automatic axis lock
Automatic axis locking allows the RS 4 to quickly start up or go into sleep mode, greatly increasing capture, motion and storage efficiency. In addition, the axis locks have smaller gaps when locked, further reducing stabilizer shake.

Smoothest balancing yet
All three axes of the DJI RS 4 feature a Teflon coating that reduces friction and provides smoother balancing. When changing cameras or lenses, a fine-tuning knob on the tilt axis can be used to move the camera forward or backward, achieving millimetre-precise balancing. The top quick release plate is complete with an adjustable guide for securely attaching the camera.

Automatic display lock
The OLED touchscreen display features a new auto-lock function. When locked, the display will show the current stabilizer and joystick modes at low brightness. This not only prevents unwanted touching, but also helps save battery life.

Higher payload
The lightweight body has a load capacity of 3 kg. It can carry common mirrorless camera and lens setups, is comfortable to hold and very powerful. Compared to the previous generation, the tilt axis of the RS 4 has been extended
by 8.5 mm, increasing the space for balancing. This makes it possible to mount common mirrorless camera and lens kits along with accessories such as ND filters, expanding the creative potential.

RS 4th generation stabilization algorithm
DJI has comprehensively optimized the RS stabilization algorithm for a variety of application scenarios. It achieves an excellent balance between stabilization power and camera motion perception, resulting in both superior stabilization performance and an enhanced user experience. In addition, RS 4 offers significantly improved stability in vertical shooting, making it easy to stabilize dynamic shots such as running shots or low-angle shots.

Wireless control via Bluetooth
The DJI RS 4 can remotely control the camera shutter and zoom lens using Dual-Mode Bluetooth technology. In zoom control mode, you can use the joystick to control Power Zoom for PZ lenses and Clear Image Zoom to get native zoom. You only need to pair the camera once, then it will automatically reconnect. When paired with the new DJI Focus Pro Motor, the DJI RS 4 allows you to control the focus of the lens with the dial or adjust the zoom of the lens via the joystick. This seamless control allows for efficient control of the lens.

Customizing the trigger function
The trigger function can be customised to FPV mode, where when the trigger is pressed and held, the three axes of the gimbal follow the direction of movement of the handle. This is especially useful when shooting rotating shots or simulating POV.

Stabilizer mode switch
Use the gimbal mode switch to quickly switch between PF, PTF and FPV modes. You can also set the FPV mode to 3D Roll 360 mode or custom mode according to your current shooting requirements.

RSA communication port
The DJI RS 4 is equipped with an RSA communication port that allows you to connect accessories such as the DJI RS Tethered Control Handle, and third-party accessories such as control handles and remote control ring handles. This gives you the flexibility to switch between different sensing settings to suit your needs. Extensive ecosystem of accessories
DJI RS Series accessories, such as the RS BG30 Battery Grip or RS Focus Motor (2022), are also compatible with RS 4 models. The new, optional BG70 High-Capacity Battery Grip can extend battery life up to 29.5 hours. It also supports powering the camera and accessories (up to 18W) via the USB-C port located on the bottom. The optional Ronin Image Transmitter can also be used for high-definition live streaming, remote control of the stabilizer and camera, ActiveTrack 4.0, Force Mobile and more.
