Blackmagic Design 2110 IP Converter 3x3G is a bidirectional rack converter for three independent 3G-SDI channels in an SMPTE 2110 IP infrastructure. Its 10G Ethernet connection links up to six SDI devices simultaneously; every channel has its own SDI input, loop output and output. It supports SD and HD video up to 1080p60, PTP timing, NMOS, and local control and diagnostics on a colour LCD.

Three 3G-SDI channels for an IP studio
Convert three independent SDI sources to SMPTE 2110 IP and return three IP sources to SDI at the same time. Each channel has its own input, loop output and output, so the converter can sit directly in an existing HD workflow.
Route and diagnose at the rack
The colour LCD provides video, standard, audio and timecode monitoring, menus and diagnostics. The front-panel controls can select IP sources for the SDI outputs, while a reference output is timed to the 2110 PTP clock.
Bring SDI equipment into a managed IP workflow
The converter follows the SMPTE ST 2110 family for uncompressed video, traffic shaping, PCM audio and ancillary data. It can resynchronise SDI inputs to a common PTP clock and uses multicast to distribute a source efficiently to multiple destinations.
NMOS support makes 2110 devices discoverable and controllable as a virtual router: IS-04 handles discovery and registration, while IS-05 manages connections. This makes it practical to integrate switchers, recorders, playback servers and streaming processors without replacing their 3G-SDI interfaces.
