Blackmagic 2110 IP Mini IP to HDMI converts SMPTE-2110 video and audio to HDMI for monitors, televisions and projectors. The small converter works with HD, Ultra HD and 4K DCI up to 60p, connects via common 10G Ethernet RJ-45 and can be powered from it with PoE++; a 12V power supply is also included. Thanks to its small size it hides right behind the display.
IP Monitoring over Common 10G Ethernet
Video from an SMPTE-2110 network on any HDMI monitor or television – the converter receives 10-bit IP video and 16 channels of audio over a single Cat6 cable.
Power over the network cable
The RJ-45 port is used for video, setup and PoE++ power. Where there is no PoE, the converter runs from the included 12V power supply; power usage is 18 W.
PTP and NMOS
IEEE 1588 PTP v2 (ST 2059) synchronization and NMOS IS-04 and IS-05 connection management.
Input lock indicator
An LED on the side shows that the converter has locked to the 2110 IP input signal.
A simple output from the IP infrastructure
The converter displays an SMPTE-2110 source on an HDMI device. It can work connected point to point or in a managed network with NMOS and PTP synchronization. This is not an optical model: this version has a built-in 10G BASE-T RJ-45 connector for Cat6a cabling.
HDMI output up to 2160p60
The HDMI output delivers HD, Ultra HD and 4K DCI up to 60 frames per second in YUV 4:2:2, including audio. A monitor or television displays the network video without a computer.
Hidden behind the display
The compact body fits behind a monitor or television, so the network output stays out of sight. Setup and updates use USB-C 3.0 with the application for macOS and Windows.
Connections
One side has a 10G Ethernet port with PoE++ for the 2110 IP input, an input lock indicator, USB and a 12V DC power input; the other side has the HDMI output.

How 2110 IP fits into a production workflow
Blackmagic 2110 IP products integrate video equipment into an SMPTE ST-2110 infrastructure, which carries 10-bit video, audio and ancillary data over a managed IP network. The compact 2110 IP Mini models can be placed right behind a monitor or other equipment, so the IP network output stays out of sight.
For copper infrastructure this model uses common 10G Ethernet with an RJ-45 connector. A point to point connection suits simple setups; in a larger system the device can be plugged into a network switch and sources routed via NMOS as in a virtual router. PTP provides a common time base for synchronized IP operation.
Blackmagic IP10 is an open low latency codec that allows Ultra HD at frame rates above 30 frames per second over 10G Ethernet. The converter automatically works with the appropriate HD, Ultra HD or 4K DCI format up to 2160p60.
