Blackmagic 2110 IP SDI to HDMI 12G-10 converts 12G-SDI or SMPTE-2110 to HDMI 2.0 in a 1U rack design. Along with accurate SD, HD, 2K, Ultra HD and 4K images up to 2160p60, it offers 3D LUTs for calibrating HDMI displays, two 10G Ethernet ports with SMPTE 2022-7 redundancy and ten independent balanced XLR outputs for surround sound monitoring. The front LCD display shows video, audio levels and menus; there is also a speaker and a 6.35 mm headphone output.

The converter links 12G-SDI or SMPTE-2110 to an HDMI display and gives you ten separate XLR outputs with remote level control and adjustable delay – for grading, screening rooms and multichannel listening.

SMPTE 2022-7 redundancy

Two 10G Ethernet ports provide full SMPTE 2022-7 redundancy – if one network fails, video and audio keep running from the other.

Webcam output

USB-C outputs video as a webcam up to 1080p60 and is also used for setup and updates.

NMOS control port

Besides two 2110 IP video connections, the converter has a separate NMOS control port.

Picture, audio and calibration checks

The built-in 2.2″ LCD display shows video preview, audio levels and settings right at the rack. 3D LUTs allow accurate color calibration of the HDMI monitor. The built-in speaker and 6.35 mm headphone output make quick checks easy without extra monitoring equipment.

Hybrid SDI and IP infrastructure

One 12G-SDI input with loop output works with SD, HD, 2K, Ultra HD and 4K standards up to 2160p60. Two 10G BASE-T ports carry SMPTE-2110 video and 16 channels of embedded audio; PTP and NMOS support makes integration into a managed IP infrastructure simple.

Ten outputs for surround sound

The ten balanced XLR outputs can be used for surround listening with powered speakers. The level is controlled remotely and the delay can be set so the audio matches the picture on televisions and projectors. Power comes from the mains or via a 4-pin XLR 12V DC input.

Connections

The rear panel has an AC power input, a 12V DC power input (4-pin XLR), an NMOS control port, two 2110 IP video connections, a 12G-SDI input and loop output, a remote connector, an HDMI 2.0 output and ten analog XLR audio outputs.

Monitoring ready for grading and screening

Blackmagic 2110 IP SDI to HDMI 12G-10 provides color accurate monitoring for OLED televisions and multichannel surround listening with powered speakers. The ten channels of analog XLR output allow remote volume control and adjustable delay to match the sound of televisions and projectors.

The converter integrates SDI equipment into broadcast systems built on SMPTE ST-2110. The rack design can be installed right next to the equipment being converted; the PTP clock and NMOS allow control from a video router panel. Multi-rate 12G-SDI on a single BNC cable carries the supported HD and Ultra HD formats.
