Blackmagic 2110 IP SDI to HDMI 12G converts 12G-SDI or SMPTE-2110 video to HDMI for color accurate monitoring. It offers 3D LUTs for calibrating HDMI displays, a front LCD display with video preview and audio levels, two balanced XLR outputs, a speaker and a headphone output. It supports SD, HD and Ultra HD up to 2160p60 and takes up one third of the rack width.

3D LUTs let you calibrate an HDMI display for color critical grading, a control room or an editing suite without a separate LUT processor.

Webcam output

USB-C outputs video as a webcam up to 1080p60 and is also used for setup and updates.

REST API

The converter can be controlled over Ethernet from REST client applications.

Front panel monitoring

The front 2.2″ LCD display shows video preview, audio levels and menus; it is operated with four buttons and a spin knob. The built-in speaker and 6.35 mm headphone output allow quick audio checks.

One path to an accurate picture

The converter receives 12G-SDI or SMPTE-2110 via 10G BASE-T and converts it to HDMI 2.0; the SDI loop output passes the signal on to other equipment. For audio monitoring it has two balanced XLR outputs with adjustable gain and delay.

Part of a managed IP infrastructure

SMPTE-2110 carries video, up to 16 channels of embedded audio and ancillary data over 10G Ethernet. PTP provides synchronization and NMOS makes finding and managing sources easy in a managed broadcast network.

Connections

The rear panel has an AC power input, a 12V DC power input, a 10G Ethernet port for 2110 IP, a 12G-SDI input and loop output, an HDMI 2.0 output, a remote connector and two analog XLR audio outputs.

Details for everyday monitoring

Modern OLED televisions are well suited to accurate color monitoring in grading and editing suites. The pair of analog XLR outputs lets you connect powered speakers; remote volume control, adjustable gain and delay help keep picture and sound in sync.

The front LCD display shows video preview, audio levels and menus. The built-in speaker and headphone output allow quick local checks. The 12G-SDI interface is multi-rate: a single BNC cable covers SD, HD and Ultra HD standards including 2160p60.

The converter is designed to integrate SDI equipment into SMPTE ST-2110 systems. PTP and NMOS support timing and managed routing of sources from video router control.
