Blackmagic Cinema Camera 6K is a digital film camera with a 6048 × 4032 full frame sensor, active L-Mount, OLPF, dual native ISO 400/3200 and 13 stops of dynamic range. It records 12-bit Blackmagic RAW and H.264 proxies to CFexpress Type B media or directly to an external USB-C disk.
Full frame 6K for cinematic images without needless rigging
Blackmagic Cinema Camera 6K combines a 36 × 24 mm sensor, active L-Mount, OLPF and 12-bit Blackmagic RAW in a compact body. CFexpress Type B recording is complemented by direct USB-C disk recording and simultaneous H.264 proxy files.
Use the frame your shot needs
Open Gate 3:2 uses the complete sensor area for reframing and stabilization. The camera also supports true 6:5 anamorphic capture, 6K 2.4:1 up to 60 fps, Super 16 up to 100 fps and 1080 HD up to 120 fps.
Dual native ISO 400 and 3200 plus 13 stops of dynamic range help retain low noise from bright daylight to low-light work.
Monitor directly on the camera
The adjustable 5-inch HDR touchscreen reaches 1500 nits and tilts 180° upward and 47° downward. Focus tools, histogram, audio meters, frame guides and 3D LUT monitoring are available on screen.
Full-size HDMI provides 10-bit HDR output with or without overlays; mini XLR inputs provide 48V phantom power for professional microphones.
A flexible base for lenses, media and power
The active L-Mount’s 51.6 mm diameter and 20 mm flange distance support current Leica, Panasonic and Sigma full frame lenses as well as adapters for other mounts. Iris and focus control are available with supported lenses.
The built-in CFexpress Type B slot is designed for fast Blackmagic RAW recording, while USB-C permits direct recording to an external disk. The camera uses NP-F570 batteries, has a locking 12–20 V 2-pin power input and supports the optional Pocket Cinema Camera Pro EVF and Battery Pro Grip.
