Blackmagic Cloud Backup 8 is a large 8-bay hard drive docking station that allows you to back up large media files to affordable computer hard drives over a 10G Ethernet network.
Eight Drives for an Accessible and Synchronized Archive
Cloud Backup 8 is an 8-bay rack-mount docking station for 3.5″ SATA drives. It backs up large media files via four 10G Ethernet ports and continuously synchronizes them with Blackmagic Cloud for collaboration in DaVinci Resolve.
An archive that stays within reach
Each drive slot operates independently: full drives can be swapped out for empty ones, allowing for flexible archive expansion. SATA HDDs offer a low cost per TB and sufficient speed for both completed projects and large multi-camera recordings.
The HDMI monitoring output displays storage activity, connections, and synchronization in real time. A security bar helps protect drives from unauthorized removal; USB-C enables Ethernet over USB, configuration, and updates.
Four 10G BASE-T ports allow for network sharing among multiple users. Blackmagic Cloud continuously backs up projects, working with proxies first and later transferring the original media.
