Blackmagic Cloud Store Ultra 48TB is an extremely high-performance network storage unit in a compact 1RU design with server-style front-to-rear cooling. Twelve M.2 NVMe cards, two separate 100G Ethernet QSFP28 ports, RAID 5 support, two redundant power supplies and synchronization with Blackmagic Cloud give dozens of users simultaneous access to large files.
Two 100G networks in one 1RU chassis
Twelve M.2 NVMe cards, two separate 100G QSFP28 ports and two redundant power supplies, suited to recording from the HyperDeck ISO Recorder 100G.
Camera recording and editing on the same network
One 100G port can receive recordings from the HyperDeck ISO Recorder 100G while the other serves the editing workstations. With a Blackmagic Ethernet Switch 360P added, each 100G port can be split into 16 separate 10G Ethernet connections.
Front-to-rear cooling
Server-style cooling with six redundant fans spreads the heat evenly across the M.2 cards and prevents hot spots and performance throttling. Operation stays quiet.
RAID 0 or RAID 5
By default RAID 0 is used for maximum capacity. After reformatting to RAID 5, every sixth M.2 card is used for parity and files are rebuilt after a card is replaced.
LCD and storage status on the spot
The built-in 2.2 inch LCD, spin knob and three buttons show the storage name, capacity and use, Blackmagic Cloud sync status, user activity, hardware status and network graphs. The two SDI outputs and the HDMI output show the same overview on a monitor.
For multicamera production with HyperDeck
The HyperDeck ISO Recorder 100G can record individual cameras straight into the storage over one 100G port while the second port serves dozens of editing workstations. Media synchronizes with Blackmagic Cloud, and editing in DaVinci Resolve can begin while shooting is still under way.
