DeckLink 4K Extreme 12G – HDMI 2.0 is a mezzanine card that connects equipment carrying Ultra HD and 4K video over HDMI or SFP optical modules to the DeckLink 4K Extreme 12G card. It carries HDMI 2.0 input and output with resolutions up to 2160p60 and two positions for optional 12 Gb/s optical modules, and it mounts on the main card in place of the existing mezzanine card – as a replacement or instead of the Quad SDI card.

One board, two kinds of connection
The connector layout matches the HDMI mezzanine card supplied with DeckLink 4K Extreme 12G: two optical inputs/outputs A and B and below them HDMI output and input.

Input and output up to 2160p60 with 4:4:4, 4:2:2 and 4:2:0 sampling.
Optical modules
Two positions for optional 12 Gb/s optical modules.
HDR
Static HDR metadata, the output configures itself to the display.

On the DeckLink 4K Extreme 12G card
The mezzanine card mounts on the DeckLink 4K Extreme 12G main card and has its own mounting bracket; the picture shows the complete assembly. Use it to replace the HDMI mezzanine card from the box or to go back from the Quad SDI card to HDMI and optical.
HDMI 2.0 with Deep Color and HDR
The type A HDMI input and output work in SD, HD, Ultra HD and 4K DCI up to 2160p60 and 4Kp60 DCI, with 4:4:4, 4:2:2 and 4:2:0 sampling at 8, 10 and 12 bits and 8 channels of embedded audio. The input cannot capture copy protected content.
Optical connection
Positions A and B accept optional 12 Gb/s optical modules that connect the DeckLink 4K Extreme 12G card to the fiber runs of a studio or broadcast truck. The modules are not included and are sold separately.
