Blackmagic DeckLink IP 100G is a powerful PCI Express generation 4 card for capturing and playing back up to eight channels of Ultra HD in SMPTE 2110 networks. Two 100G Ethernet QSFP28 ports provide full SMPTE 2022-7 redundancy, the channels work with SD, HD and Ultra HD up to 2160p60 and the card runs the same software as other DeckLink cards – for graphics servers, virtual sets and GPU image processing.
Eight Ultra HD channels over 100G Ethernet
Up to eight bidirectional Ultra HD channels in a single slot – for server racks with broadcast graphics, virtual sets or AI image processing on graphics cards.
Built-in video firewall
The Ethernet port carries only video and audio from the card’s frame buffers – rogue software and hackers cannot reach the 2110 IP network through the computer.

Up to eight Ultra HD channels
The card captures and plays back up to eight channels of SD, HD and Ultra HD at the same time and each channel can be set individually. On Windows and Linux it handles eight channels of Ultra HD p60 capture and playback, on macOS four.
Two 100G ports for redundancy
Two QSFP28 ports for 100 Gb/s optical modules allow redundant operation to SMPTE 2022-7 (receiver class A) or connection to two separate 100G Ethernet switches. QSFP28 modules are not included.
Formats up to 2160p60
The channels work with SD (525i59.94 NTSC, 625i50 PAL), HD up to 1080p60, 2K DCI, Ultra HD and 4K DCI up to 60 frames per second, with 8 and 10-bit YUV 4:2:2, Rec. 601, 709 and 2020 color spaces and HDR static metadata with HLG and PQ transfer characteristics.
IP10 codec for 2160p60
Uncompressed 10-bit 2160p59.94 and 2160p60 video does not fit within the 10G Ethernet bandwidth per channel. The open Blackmagic IP10 codec lowers the data rate of these formats with only 8 samples of latency and minimal FPGA resources, so downstream 2110 IP products can stay smaller and more affordable.
SMPTE 2110, PTP and NMOS
The card conforms to SMPTE 2110-20, 2110-21, 2110-30 and 2110-40, synchronizes to a PTP clock (IEEE 1588, ST 2059) and supports NMOS IS-04 and IS-05, so it can be controlled as part of a virtual router – for example from Videohub Smart Control.
Cooling, power and dimensions
The card with built-in cooling is 267.2 mm long, weighs 390 g and draws 50 W. The PCI Express x8 generation 4 interface works in x8 and x16 slots; the card must be connected to the computer power supply via a 6-pin 2×3 connector.
DaVinci Resolve and GPUDirect
DaVinci Resolve, Media Express, Disk Speed Test, LiveKey and the driver are included. Simultaneous capture and playback enables live grading in DaVinci Resolve; GPUDirect RDMA support transfers video directly between the card and the graphics card, reducing PCI Express bus load and latency.
Connectors
The bracket has two QSFP28 ports for 100 Gb/s optical modules; at the end of the card is a 6-pin 2×3 auxiliary power connector.

DeckLink IP 100G is a PCI Express generation 4 card for simultaneous capture and playback of up to eight channels of Ultra HD video in broadcast systems based on SMPTE 2110 IP. It connects via two 100G Ethernet QSFP28 optical ports, which provide full redundancy or connection to two separate 100G Ethernet switches.
DeckLink IP 100G has built-in cooling. It supports GPUDirect RDMA for direct memory transfers between the DeckLink card and the GPU, reducing PCI Express bus load when processing video on the GPU and significantly lowering latency.
The card is designed to work with the highest quality video and supports capture and playback in Apple ProRes, DNxHD and even uncompressed 10-bit video. DeckLink IP 100G connections are multi rate, so they support all SD, HD and Ultra HD standards up to 2160p60.
On the DeckLink IP 100G model, the open standard IP10 codec lowers the data rate of the 2160p59.94 and 2160p60 television standards – with only 8 samples of latency. It is an extremely small codec that uses very few FPGA resources, so SMPTE 2110 IP video products remain affordable.
DeckLink IP 100G supports all popular video software. It is ideal for DaVinci Resolve as an editing and color correction solution in SMPTE 2110 IP broadcast systems. Because the card supports simultaneous capture and playback, you can use live grading in DaVinci Resolve – capture video, correct the color and output it at the same time. The card also works with other editing software such as Final Cut Pro, Media Composer or Premiere Pro, and with the visual effects applications Fusion, After Effects and Photoshop. A Windows WDM driver is also included.
