Detailné informácie

Podrobný popis

The most powerful HyperDeck Studio model records and plays H.264, H.265, ProRes and DNx files in all SD, HD and Ultra HD standards up to 2160p60. It offers 12G-SDI with a loop output, two 12G-SDI outputs for Ultra HD fill and key, HDMI 2.0, 10G Ethernet, two 2.5″ SSD slots plus two SD card slots, and two redundant AC power supplies. All models in the range support PCM and AAC audio.

12G-SDI recording up to Ultra HD 60p

HyperDeck Studio 4K Pro is the top model of the range: it combines 12G-SDI, HDMI 2.0, H.265 and Ultra HD recording up to 2160p60 with fast 10G Ethernet and four media slots.

Recording, playback and sync in one

HyperDeck Studio records broadcast masters, plays clips into the switcher, and thanks to built in timecode and reference generators you can build a rack of several units for ISO recording of every camera.

Broadcast codecs

Open H.264, ProRes and DNx files with PCM or AAC audio directly in your editing software, no conversion needed.

Two slots for non-stop recording

When one media fills up, recording continues seamlessly on the other and the full one can be swapped on the fly.

Timecode and reference generators

Timecode and reference outputs loop to further recorders, so several units run in sync.

Network and RS-422 control

Text protocol over Ethernet, FTP file transfer and traditional RS-422 control from an edit suite or automation.

Metal search dial with clutch

The Pro models have a machined metal search dial with increased mass and a soft rubber surface. An electronic clutch limits rotation in shuttle mode like a traditional VTR, and dedicated buttons switch between jog, shuttle and scroll modes. A headphone output and speaker are included.

Color status display

The front panel display shows timecode, transport status and a color preview of the clip being recorded or played, the status of each media slot, video standard, frame rate and audio levels. The audio meters can be switched between VU and PPM ballistics, and the menus support light and dark mode.

Four media slots

In addition to two UHS-I and UHS-II SD card slots, the Pro models have two slots for 2.5″ SATA SSDs, so they work with two types of media. When one media fills up, recording automatically continues on the next and the full one is swapped on the fly. External disks are recorded via USB-C, and media is formatted as ExFAT or HFS+.

H.265, ProRes and DNx up to 2160p60

The 4K Pro records SD and HD as H.264 and Ultra HD as H.265, with 60:1 to 285:1 compression at broadcast quality. ProRes and DNx switch between SD, HD and Ultra HD up to 2160p60, and 2K and 4K DCI are supported up to 30p. A 1 TB card holds up to 58 hours of H.265 in 2160p60.

Multi-rate 12G-SDI

A single 12G-SDI connector handles SD, HD and Ultra HD. The input has a loop output, both outputs are 12G-SDI, and the 3G-SDI monitor output shows status overlays. At 3G-SDI rates the recorder supports both level A and level B, and it also supports 1080 PsF formats.

Fill and key outputs for graphics

Two SDI outputs play ProRes 4444 files with the alpha channel sent as a separate key signal to the second output, so the recorder works as a player for animated titles and stingers keyed in the switcher. The 4K Pro plays fill and key in Ultra HD as well; ATEM switchers trigger playback over Ethernet.

Timecode and sync for ISO recording

All models have built in timecode and reference generators with outputs that loop to further recorders. You can build a rack of several units for ISO recording of individual cameras and edit multicam after the event. The generators free run and lock automatically when reference or timecode is connected.

10G Ethernet and network recording

The 4K Pro has 10G Ethernet, and file transfers are faster than the SD cards or SSDs themselves; Blackmagic OS sustains up to 1.2 GB/s over 10G. Files are uploaded via FTP, the recorder is controlled by text protocol or RS-422, and it can also record directly to network storage.

HDR and 3D LUTs for the monitor output

The SDI and HDMI inputs detect HDR video automatically and files are tagged with the correct HDR information according to ST2084 (PQ and HLG); HDR status is also embedded in the SDI outputs. A 33 point 3D LUT can be loaded into the monitor output to preview a look or convert film gamma. 2, 4, 8 or 16 audio channels are recorded from SDI.

Two redundant AC power supplies

The 4K Pro has two built in 100–240 V AC power supplies for full redundancy plus a 12 V DC input with a 4-pin XLR connector for battery power. Four media slots also cover the failure of a single slot, keeping the recorder on air.

Blackmagic OS

Blackmagic OS manages all recorder functions: instant power on, preview with timecode and audio meters, monitor output with overlays, menus, fast networking, multi-disk media management and 3D LUTs. The menus are localized into 13 languages and support light and dark mode.

Webcam output

When the USB-C port is not used for an external disk, connect the recorder directly to a computer and it is recognized as a common webcam in 1080 HD. It works with Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Skype or for streaming with Open Broadcaster and XSplit Broadcaster.

Connections and controls

On the front panel you will find the speaker on/off button, remote button, headphone output, speaker, two 2.5″ SSD slots, two SD card slots, transport controls, input, menu and search buttons, a 2.2″ display, Shuttle, Jog and Scroll buttons and a search dial.
