Blackmagic Design HyperDeck Studio HD Mini Blackmagic Design
Kód: AHYPERD/ST/DAHMXPodrobný popis
This miniaturized professional video recorder records SD and HD video (up to 1080p60) as H.264, ProRes or DNxHD files onto SD/UHS-II cards and external USB disks. It offers 3G-SDI in and out, HDMI out and timecode and reference generators. The body, only one third of a rack wide, has two SD card slots for non-stop recording, a 2.2″ color display, and via USB-C it also works as a webcam.
Compact broadcast recorder
HyperDeck Studio HD Mini brings professional recording and playback to a compact body one third of a rack wide. It handles SD and HD up to 1080p60 and fits easily into a studio or a mobile control room.

Recording, playback and sync in one
HyperDeck Studio records broadcast masters, plays clips into the switcher, and thanks to built in timecode and reference generators you can build a rack of several units for ISO recording of every camera.
Broadcast codecs
Open H.264, ProRes and DNx files with PCM or AAC audio directly in your editing software, no conversion needed.
Two slots for non-stop recording
When one media fills up, recording continues seamlessly on the other and the full one can be swapped on the fly.
Timecode and reference generators
Timecode and reference outputs loop to further recorders, so several units run in sync.
Network and RS-422 control
Text protocol over Ethernet, FTP file transfer and traditional RS-422 control from an edit suite or automation.
A full recorder in a compact body
The HD Mini is based on the Teranex Mini form factor: it has 3G-SDI in and out, HDMI out, two SD card slots, built in sync and timecode generators, front panel controls and both AC and DC power inputs. It also looks good on its own on a desktop, without rack mounting.

Color status display
The front panel display shows timecode, transport status and a color preview of the clip being recorded or played, the status of each media slot, video standard, frame rate and audio levels. The audio meters can be switched between VU and PPM ballistics, and the menus support light and dark mode.
Two SD card slots and external disk
The recorder writes to common UHS-I SD cards and fast UHS-II cards, so no expensive custom media is needed. When a card fills up, recording continues on the other and the full card can be swapped on the fly. Via USB-C you can also record to an external disk you can edit from directly; SSDs can be added with a Blackmagic MultiDock 10G.
H.264, ProRes and DNxHD codecs
The HD Mini records and plays ProRes, DNxHD and H.264 in NTSC, PAL, 720p, 1080i and 1080p standards up to 60 frames per second. Audio is stored as uncompressed PCM or as AAC for uploading to YouTube. A 1 TB card holds up to 157 hours of H.264 in 1080p59.94.
Timecode and sync for ISO recording
All models have built in timecode and reference generators with outputs that loop to further recorders. You can build a rack of several units for ISO recording of individual cameras and edit multicam after the event. The generators free run and lock automatically when reference or timecode is connected.

AC and DC power
The HD Mini has a built in 100–240 V AC power supply plus a locking 12 V DC input. The DC input can be powered from an external battery as backup, keeping the recorder on air even if mains power fails.

Three recorders in one rack unit
The HD Mini is only one third of a rack wide (about 5 inches). On the optional Blackmagic Universal Rack Shelf you can mount three recorders side by side, or combine the HD Mini with other modules such as a Teranex Mini Analog to SDI 12G converter for archive digitizing.
Webcam output
When the USB-C port is not used for an external disk, connect the recorder directly to a computer and it is recognized as a common webcam in 1080 HD. It works with Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Skype or for streaming with Open Broadcaster and XSplit Broadcaster.

Network file transfer and control
Files can be uploaded to the recorder remotely via FTP, and it can be controlled with a simple text protocol over Ethernet or with traditional RS-422 including the Advanced Media Protocol. The recorder can also record directly to network storage, so multiple cameras can record into a single folder.

HDR and multi-channel audio
The SDI and HDMI inputs detect HDR video automatically and files are tagged with the correct HDR information; static PQ and HLG metadata follow the ST2084 standard. You can record 2, 4, 8 or 16 audio channels from SDI, with levels shown on the display audio meters.
Connections and controls
The front panel has two SD card slots, transport controls, menu and search buttons, a 2.2″ display and a search dial.

The rear panel has an AC power input, DC power input, RS-422 input, Ethernet, reference in and out, timecode in and out, USB-C for external recording and webcam out, HDMI out and 3G-SDI in and out.

Dimensions and weight
140 × 177 × 44.2 mm, weight 820 g.

More information
The HyperDeck Studio range in detail
HyperDeck Studio video recorders capture high-quality video to SD cards, external USB disks and (depending on the model) SSDs as H.264, Apple ProRes or DNxHD files with PCM or AAC audio. The 4K model adds support for the H.265 codec. For ISO recording, built in timecode and sync generators let you synchronize multiple units. HyperDeck Studio recorders are ideal for television studios, outside broadcast trucks and digital signage installations. They have traditional controls including a search dial, and a built in LCD with video preview and audio meters with VU or PPM ballistics.
The new HyperDeck Studio range
The new HyperDeck Studio recorders have been completely redesigned and offer dozens of new features. The advanced models add more controls modeled on classic studio decks and a wider range of connectors on the rear panel. Four models cover all kinds of work in the studio and on location: the HD Mini model with 3G-SDI records and plays H.264, ProRes or DNxHD files to SD cards including UHS-II, or to external USB disks, in SD and HD formats up to 1080p60. The larger HD Plus model adds better transport controls, a front panel headphone output and speaker, 6G-SDI with fill and key outputs, an SDI monitor output and H.264 recording up to 1080p60, or ProRes and DNx up to 2160p30. The HD Pro and HD Plus models share the same electronics, but the Pro model has a full 19″ rack width body with a metal search dial and two SSD slots. The top 4K Pro model has 12G-SDI, 10G Ethernet and records H.264, H.265, ProRes or DNx in SD, HD and Ultra HD up to 2160p60. H.265 allows up to 58 hours of non-stop 2160p60 Ultra HD recording on a 1 TB card, and H.264 up to 157 hours (more than 6 days) in 1080p59.94 on the same media.
Recording to SD/UHS-II, USB disks and SSDs
HyperDeck Studio models record to common SD cards and fast UHS-II cards, so there is no need for expensive custom media. You can also record to external USB disks, and the Pro models also record directly to SSDs formatted as ExFAT or HFS+. All models have two SD card slots for non-stop recording: when one card fills up, recording automatically continues on the other. This makes it easy to record long cultural or sports events and conferences. The recorders record to standard DNx and ProRes formats and to H.264 (Plus and Pro models in up to 10-bit 4:2:2 quality) in NTSC, PAL, 720p (including 720p50 and 720p59.94), 1080p (including 1080p23.98, 24, 25, 29.97, 30, 50, 59.94, 60p and PsF modes) and 1080i (including 1080i50 and 1080i59.94); the 4K model also records H.265 in Ultra HD (up to 2160p60, 2K and 4K DCI up to 30p). The Plus and Pro models also play ProRes 4444 files including the alpha channel.
3G-SDI, 6G-SDI or 12G-SDI connections
Depending on the model, the recorders feature 3G-SDI, 6G-SDI or 12G-SDI, and every model has an HDMI output for connecting to televisions and projectors. The Pro and Plus models also have an SDI monitor output with status overlays and two SDI outputs for playing ProRes 4444 files as fill and key for the control room. The standard 1 Gb/s Ethernet port is replaced by fast 10G on the 4K model.
USB output and HDR support
For wide software compatibility, HyperDeck Studio recorders also feature a USB port that works as a webcam. This makes them easy to use with video conferencing and streaming software such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Skype, Open Broadcaster or XSplit Broadcaster. For film post production there is HDR support (static PQ and HLG metadata according to ST2084), and the Plus and Pro models also support 3D LUTs on the monitor output. There is SDI audio support (up to 16 channels) with level metering, plus timecode and reference generators for syncing multiple units.
Maximum compatibility
Recorded files are compatible with virtually all editing (DaVinci Resolve, Apple Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere Pro, Avid Media Composer) and effects (Fusion, Adobe After Effects) software and, with the H.264 codec, with video sharing platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, Vimeo or Twitter. With external USB disks there is no need to copy files through card readers, which further speeds up working with the recorded material.
Compact design
If you need an easily portable recorder, choose the HyperDeck Studio HD Mini, which is one third of a standard 19″ equipment rack wide. With the optional Teranex Mini Rack Shelf you can mount three recorders side by side or combine them with other equipment, such as a Teranex Mini Analog to SDI 12G converter for digitizing archive analog video. The HD Mini works just as well on its own on a desktop.
