The Blackmagic Media Dock Ultra is a powerful 3RU rack dock for up to three removable Blackmagic Media Modules with two separate 100G Ethernet ports. It offers two SDI outputs and an HDMI output for monitoring the storage status, dual redundant power and sync with Blackmagic Cloud. It suits editing from URSA Cine cameras and live production with the HyperDeck ISO Recorder 100G.

Three modules and two 100G networks

A fast dock for edit suites, DIT and live broadcast: one 100G port for the recorder, the other for the switch and workstations.

Record and edit at the same time

One 100G port can serve the HyperDeck ISO Recorder 100G, the other a network switch with edit stations. DaVinci Resolve edits the files even while they are being recorded.

Two independent 100G ports

Each 100G port has its own IP address and subnet mask, so with a managed switch it offers up to 200G of bandwidth with load balancing.

Cooling and redundancy

Front to rear cooling with multiple fans and two internal 100–240 V AC power supplies keep the dock running even if one part fails.

For live production and replay

With the HyperDeck ISO Recorder 100G you can record up to eight cameras at once in broadcast quality ProRes. With a Blackmagic Ethernet Switch 360P each 100G port can be broken out into 16 separate 10G Ethernet connections.

Remove the module when the show ends

When the broadcast ends, remove the module and take it with you. Every module has four M.2 memory cards in RAID 0 and its own heat sink, and LED rings around the bays show reading and writing.
