The Blackmagic Design expansion cable for the Micro Cinema Camera connects to the DB-HD15 connector and gives access to the 12 V power input, the sync input, LANC, the composite video output, four PWM analog servo inputs and S.Bus digital servo. The same cable is included with the camera; on its own it is useful as a spare or second cable for remotely controlled rigs and permanent camera installations.

The cable breaks out the expansion port on the camera (Micro Cinema Camera) to connectors for power, sync, composite preview and wireless control.
Control via a radio receiver
The four PWM analog inputs and the S.Bus digital input connect to the receiver of a radio control set. The channels can be assigned to focus, iris, power zoom or record start.
Power, sync and LANC
The 12 V input powers the camera and trickle charges the battery, and the camera switches on automatically when mains power is connected. The reference input locks the camera to a Black Burst or Tri-Level signal. The 2.5 mm LANC jack accepts wired controllers for record start and stop, iris and focus.
Composite video and servo
Connect the composite output with an RCA connector, in NTSC or PAL, to a low cost monitor or a wireless transmitter. The four analog servo inputs with Futaba J connectors control one channel each, S.Bus offers 17 channels and channel 18 resets the exposure to default.
