The Blackmagic Micro Studio Camera 4K G2 is a miniature studio camera with an active MFT mount, a 4K sensor with a dynamic range of 13 EV, and dual native sensitivity. Professional 4K images wherever a full-size camera cannot fit
Micro Studio Camera 4K G2 combines an active MFT mount, 13 stops of dynamic range and studio control in a tiny body. It connects to HDMI and 12G-SDI switchers, records 12-bit Blackmagic RAW to an external USB-C drive and fits into exceptionally tight camera positions.
More angles for live production
The small, rugged body with a magnesium-alloy core can be hidden on a stage, in a classroom, church, conference venue or sports studio. SDI program return carries tally and control from a compatible ATEM switcher, while HDMI simplifies local monitoring and setup.
Sensitive sensor and post-production recording
The Four Thirds sensor offers 13 stops of dynamic range, dual native 0 dB and 18 dB gain, and Ultra HD capture up to 60 fps. USB-C 3.1 Gen 1 records Blackmagic RAW straight to external media and, with a suitable USB-C-to-Ethernet adapter, enables network REST control.
Studio functions in a compact body
Blackmagic Micro Studio Camera 4K G2 is made for locations where regular-sized cameras have no room. It offers an MFT mount, a sensitive 4K sensor with strong colour reproduction, a 12G-SDI output for HD and Ultra HD studio operation up to 2160p60, a built-in colour corrector controllable over SDI and HDMI, and Blackmagic RAW recording to external USB drives. It brings the advantages of a large studio camera to a durable body that can be placed almost anywhere.
4K sensor and MFT mount
Generation 5 Color Science, 13 stops of dynamic range and a 4096 × 2160 sensor support both HD and Ultra HD work. The active MFT mount supports a wide selection of photographic lenses; compatible lenses allow iris, focus and zoom control.
12G-SDI, HDMI and USB-C
HDMI works with ATEM Mini, carrying video, tally, control and record trigger. 12G-SDI works with SDI switchers, carrying camera video and program return with tally and remote control. USB-C supports external-drive recording, network control and accessories including Focus Demand and Zoom Demand.
Power for critical operation
A locking 12V DC connector is complemented by LP-E6-compatible battery support for backup power. The camera can trickle-charge the battery while it is powered by its adapter.
