Blackmagic Mini Converter HDMI to SDI 6G is a professional HDMI converter with two 6G-SDI outputs for SD, HD and Ultra HD up to 2160p30. It can embed audio from HDMI, two balanced analog inputs or AES/EBU into the SDI signal and includes a universal 12 V power supply. It connects HDMI cameras and computers to SDI switchers and recorders.

Video and audio in one SDI signal
The converter automatically detects the HDMI input format in SD, HD or Ultra HD and sends it to both SDI outputs at once. Audio can be embedded into the resulting SDI signal from HDMI, the balanced analog inputs or AES/EBU – wherever your production audio comes from.
Professional audio inputs
Two channels of balanced analog audio connect via standard 1/4 inch jacks, and the left input doubles as the digital AES/EBU input. Audio is sampled at the television standard of 48 kHz and 24 bit and stays in sync with the picture.
From SD to Ultra HD
The multi-rate 6G-SDI connections work with all SD, HD and Ultra HD formats up to 2160p30 and with 4K DCI up to 25p, so the converter fits existing SD and HD equipment as well as new Ultra HD production. The 3G-SDI output works in level B.
For cameras, computers and projection
An ideal way to connect HDMI cameras, graphics computers and other HDMI devices to professional SDI routes. Reclocking stabilizes the output signal. The HDMI input cannot capture copy-protected content (HDCP).
Setup with mini switches or over USB
Functions are selected with mini switches using the diagram printed on the converter, so you never have to look for the manual. Over USB and the utility for macOS and Windows, settings can be changed from a computer and new software installed.
In the rack, in the truck and outdoors
The Mini Converter range of converters is built for 24/7 operation: the compact metal body fits into a studio rack, an outside broadcast truck or a live sports event outdoors. The connections are easy to reach and use standard cables.
Connections
One side has the HDMI input and two audio jacks (left for analog or AES/EBU, right for analog), the other two SDI outputs on BNC connectors and the power input.
