Blackmagic MultiView 4 is a multiviewer for previewing four independent SDI sources on a single monitor. You can watch any combination of SD, HD and Ultra HD formats with different frame rates at the same time. The output can be displayed on regular HD monitors as well as on Ultra HD monitors with four times the resolution. It is controlled via Ethernet or USB with software for Windows and macOS; the optional Teranex Mini Smart Panel front panel with controls and display is not included.

Full HD resolution for every view
The output can be displayed on regular 1080 HD displays as well as Ultra HD screens. When output to an Ultra HD monitor, four 1080 HD sources are shown in a 2×2 layout with no loss of resolution; labels, audio meters and tally are available.
Four 6G-SDI inputs with loop
Four independent 6G-SDI inputs with loop outputs are compatible with SD, HD and Ultra HD equipment up to 2160p30. Each input has its own re-sync, so you can connect any combination of signals including NTSC, PAL, 720p, 1080i, 1080p and Ultra HD.
Teranex Mini Smart Panel and network control
When connected to a computer via Ethernet or USB, you can turn on audio meters and view labels. The optional Teranex Mini Smart Panel adds controls and a 2.2″ color display right on the unit.
Compact chassis and PoE+ backup power
MultiView 4 uses the same chassis as Teranex Mini converters, so it can sit on a desk or mount in a rack on the Teranex Mini Rack Shelf. It is powered from 100–240 V AC mains as well as via Ethernet (PoE+ 48 V), which serves as backup power.
Connections and controls
The front has mini switches and a USB port. On the rear you will find the power connector, Ethernet, four SDI inputs and four SDI loop outputs, the HD/Ultra HD SDI output and the HDMI output.

Compact multiview for mixed SD, HD and Ultra HD sources
Blackmagic MultiView 4 features four completely independent 6G-SDI inputs with loop outputs, compatible with SD, HD and Ultra HD equipment up to 2160p30. All inputs have re-sync circuits, so you can connect any combination of signals at once, including NTSC, PAL, 720p, 1080i, 1080p and Ultra HD up to 2160p30. The output can be displayed on regular 1080 HD screens as well as Ultra HD screens; Ultra HD 3840 × 2160 resolution is four times that of 1080 HD, so when previewing HD video on an Ultra HD monitor four 1080 channels can be shown at full resolution without scaling. With large screen UHD televisions this creates a top monitoring position at minimal cost.
Blackmagic MultiView 4 is ideal for monitoring live broadcasts in control rooms and broadcast trucks where a larger number of separate displays cannot be used. Complex cabling and the high power demands of multiple monitors are eliminated. Simply connect cameras, recorders, switchers, routers and other equipment to the SDI inputs and watch everything on a single HD or UHD display. The unit offers a 2×2 layout in the default configuration and can be used straight away; when connected to a computer via Ethernet you can turn on audio meters, create view labels and more. MultiView 4 is compatible with the optional Teranex Mini Smart Panel with controls and can be powered from AC mains as well as via Ethernet. It uses the same compact chassis as Teranex Mini converters, so it can easily be rack mounted on the Teranex Mini Rack Shelf together with other MultiView 4 or Teranex Mini units, or used on a desk.
