Blackmagic Design PYXIS 6K EF Blackmagic Design
Kód: ACINECAMCPYXD60LFEFXPodrobný popis
Blackmagic PYXIS 6K EF is a modular digital film camera with a fixed locking EF mount, a 36 × 24 mm full frame sensor with 6048 × 4032 resolution, 13 stops of dynamic range, two CFexpress slots and 12-bit Blackmagic RAW recording including H.264 proxies. It suits film and commercial production, documentaries and live broadcasts where the camera works on a crane, gimbal, drone or studio rig.
Full Frame 6K with a locking EF mount
A box-style body with mounting points on every side that you build exactly to your production – from studio rig and gimbal to drone.

Blackmagic Generation 5 Color Science
The same Generation 5 Color Science as URSA Cine: accurate skin tones, a dynamic 12-bit gamma curve and images with a natural, film-like response to grading in DaVinci Resolve.
Blackmagic Cloud
Small H.264 proxies upload to Blackmagic Cloud while you shoot – over Ethernet or a 4G/5G phone connected to USB-C – and editors have them in DaVinci Resolve within seconds.
Network and remote control
1 Gb/s Ethernet provides camera control via REST API, a web media manager in your browser, file download over FTP and SMB and time sync via NTP.
A camera you build yourself
The compact body is CNC machined from aerospace aluminum, so it is lightweight yet very strong. Multiple 1/4″ and 3/8″ threads on the top and bottom let you rig it on a crane, gimbal or drone, and side plates extend mounting options for handles, microphones and even SSD drives.

Large format sensor for a cinematic look
The 36 × 24 mm full frame sensor with a native 6048 × 4032 resolution and built-in optical low pass filter is almost three times larger than Super 35. It allows shallow depth of field and uncropped anamorphic lenses and, combined with Blackmagic Color Science, delivers images on par with high end cinema cameras.

13 stops and dual native ISO
With 13 stops of dynamic range, highlights and shadows keep their detail. Native ISO 400 is meant for scenes with set lighting, the second native ISO of 3200 for dim light; sensitivity goes up to ISO 25,600 while keeping noise low.

Formats and frame rates
Open gate 3:2 (6048 × 4032) up to 36 fps uses the complete sensor area for later reframing, anamorphic 6:5 (4832 × 4032) up to 36 fps, 6K 2.4:1 and 4K DCI up to 60 fps. For higher frame rates the sensor is windowed to Super 16 up to 100 fps or HD up to 120 fps.

Three lens mounts, one body
PYXIS is available with an L-Mount, locking EF or PL mount. This model has an active, locking EF mount for Canon compatible photo and cine lenses you may already own from a DSLR; iris and focus are controlled on supported lenses and lens data from electronic EF lenses is recorded into the metadata.

Large 4″ touchscreen
The built-in 4″ Full HD HDR touchscreen with 1500 nits is used for framing, focusing and reviewing shots without an external monitor, even in direct sunlight. It shows status and record parameters, histogram, audio levels, frame guides and 3D LUTs for monitoring.

Autofocus with EF lenses
With compatible EF lenses the camera offers single shot autofocus. Continuous, object tracking and face tracking autofocus are available too, but their performance depends on the lens used. The iris of electronic lenses is set with the iris wheel or the touchscreen slider, and the iris button sets it automatically.

Controls at your fingertips
ISO, white balance and shutter have their own buttons as well as touch control, next to a scroll wheel for quick changes. Three assignable buttons and the record, still, high frame rate, zoom and menu buttons are where you expect them; the controls can be locked against accidental changes.

Side plates for accessories
The standard side plate made of aerospace aluminum has two 1/4″ threads and one 3/8″ thread for a microphone or bracket. The SSD side plate securely holds a USB-C disk for recording or a phone for live streaming. The optional Rosette Plate adds five 1/4″ threads, four 3/8″ threads and a rosette for handgrips.

Dual CFexpress slots
Two CFexpress Type B slots record full resolution 12-bit Blackmagic RAW; a full card can be swapped without stopping the recording. The USB-C expansion port (5 Gb/s) allows direct recording to an external disk that you then edit straight from in DaVinci Resolve.

Pre-record up to 10 minutes
The camera continuously records to a cache and, when you press record, adds the selected duration from 5 seconds to 10 minutes to the start of the file. Unexpected moments in documentaries, news or live events are not missed, and only what is needed is saved.

BP-U batteries and locking DC input
The camera uses common BP-U series batteries; the highest capacity ones give you over 3 hours of shooting. For mains power it has a locking 2-pin Lemo compatible input (11–19.5 V) that will not pull out even on a crane; the 60W power supply is included.

USB-C, Ethernet and Blackmagic Cloud
USB-C connects a flash disk, SSD or a 4G/5G phone for mobile data. 1 Gb/s Ethernet uploads proxies to Blackmagic Cloud, controls the camera via REST API and lets you copy files over the network; mobile data and Ethernet also serve the built-in RTMP and SRT streaming to YouTube, Facebook or X.

Timecode and multi camera sync
The accurate timecode clock drifts less than one frame every 8 hours. The BNC input accepts external timecode as well as reference (tri-sync / black burst), so several cameras shoot with matching timecode and DaVinci Resolve syncs the shots automatically.

Professional audio
The mini XLR input with 48V phantom power switches between mic and line level (up to +14 dBu), and the 3.5 mm input accepts a video camera microphone. The built-in low noise stereo microphone records guide tracks, with a speaker and a 3.5 mm headphone output for monitoring.

Blackmagic RAW and DaVinci Resolve Studio
Blackmagic RAW saves camera settings as metadata, so ISO, white balance and exposure can be changed during grading without loss of quality. The camera loads 17 and 33 point 3D LUTs, and the full version of DaVinci Resolve Studio is included.

Optional viewfinder and monitor
For handheld and outdoor work, the optional Blackmagic URSA Cine EVF with a 1920 × 1080 OLED display connects with a single USB-C cable to the viewfinder port. Blackmagic PYXIS Monitor adds a 5″ HDR touchscreen with full camera control wherever the built-in screen is hidden on the rig.

Connections, controls and mounting points
The front carries the viewfinder port, the mini XLR input and the active, locking EF mount; the side has the BP-U battery port, two CFexpress slots, 12G-SDI output up to 2160p60, REF / timecode input, Ethernet, USB-C and the locking DC input. The bottom has two 3/8″ and seven 1/4″ tripod threads.

Dimensions and weight
The body measures 119 × 106 × 182 mm and weighs 1.66 kg without lens and battery.

More information
From Sensor to Cloud
The Blackmagic PYXIS 6K is a next-generation digital film camera featuring a versatile “modular” design, so you can build the ideal camera for your production! The model features a 36 x 24 mm 6K sensor with 13 EV dynamic range and two CFexpress media slots, all in a customizable body.
Thanks to multiple mounting points and side plates for accessories, it’s easy to configure the Blackmagic PYXIS camera to suit users’ needs. The camera’s compact body is made of machined aircraft-grade aluminum, making it lightweight yet extremely sturdy. Users can easily mount it on a variety of camera rigs, such as cranes, arms, or drones. In addition to several 1/4″ and 3/8″ threaded mounts on the top and bottom of the body, the Blackmagic PYXIS features a range of side plates that further expand mounting options for accessories such as handles, microphones, or even SSD drives.
The Blackmagic PYXIS is equipped with a full-frame sensor with a native resolution of 6048 x 4032—nearly three times larger than the Super 35 format—allowing users to shoot with a shallow depth of field or use anamorphic lenses without cropping for a true cinematic look. Whether users are shooting in bright sunlight or in near-darkness, the 13EV dynamic range with dual native ISO sensitivity up to 25,600 delivers stunning, low-noise images in all lighting conditions.
Utilizing the entire sensor area provides a unique 3:2 Open Gate image, which greatly simplifies post-production. The large sensor also allows you to work in true 6:5 anamorphic format without cropping, so wide-angle cinematic shots are more detailed and have higher resolution than was previously possible.
With three models available, users can choose between L-Mount, EF, or PL lenses, making the Blackmagic PYXIS compatible with a wide range of film and photographic lenses. The L-Mount model works with the latest full-frame lenses from Leica, Panasonic, and Sigma, but adapters can also be used, allowing users to utilize a wide range of both new and vintage lenses. The EF model allows users to use high-quality photographic lenses they already own from digital SLR cameras. The PL model, on the other hand, allows users to work with professional cinema lenses from Zeiss, ARRI, Cooke, and others without needing an adapter.
The Blackmagic PYXIS can shoot in all standard resolutions and frame rates, from HD to DCI 4K and even 6K. Blackmagic PYXIS can shoot up to 36 frames per second at 6048 x 4032 3:2 Open Gate, or 60 frames per second at 6048 x 2520 2.4:1, and 60 frames per second at 4096 x 2160 4K DCI. For higher frame rates, users can shoot up to 100 frames per second at 2112 x 1184 Super 16.
The built-in LCD display is more than just a simple status display. It’s a 4-inch high-resolution touchscreen with HDR, which is also ideal for monitoring and reviewing footage on set. Its Full HD resolution means users can frame and compose their shots without having to carry a bulky external monitor. Users can also use the display as a focus assist station.
The Blackmagic PYXIS features an intuitive design that puts important functions—such as ISO, WB, and shutter speed—at your fingertips via both the touchscreen and physical controls. A set of three customizable function buttons means users don’t have to navigate through menus on a small screen to find the command they need. The controls can even be locked to prevent accidental changes to settings while shooting or when the camera is out of reach.
Innovative side plates further expand the camera’s versatility within a rig. The standard plate included with the Blackmagic PYXIS camera is made from the same aircraft-grade aluminum as the camera body and features two 1/4″ threaded mounts and one 3/8″ threaded mount, allowing users to add microphones, mounts, or other accessories. Alternatively, users can attach the included SSD plate, which provides a convenient spot to securely connect a USB-C drive for recording or even a smartphone for live streaming.
The Blackmagic PYXIS records in Blackmagic RAW to preserve control over detail, exposure, and color during post-production. It also records HD H.264 proxy files in real time, making it easy to share media. This means footage always retains unprecedented resolution and quality for color grading, keying, compositing, reframing, stabilization, and tracking in HD, 4K, or 6K.
The Blackmagic PYXIS features two built-in CFexpress card recorders and a USB-C expansion port for recording directly to external flash drives or SSDs. CFexpress cards are more durable and faster than previously used media, making them ideal for recording full-resolution 12-bit Blackmagic RAW files. Additionally, thanks to the two CFexpress slots, users can continue recording by swapping out full cards on the fly without interruption.
In addition to recording to the camera’s native media, Blackmagic PYXIS also supports the creation of a small H.264 proxy file. This means that the small proxy file can be uploaded to Blackmagic Cloud in a matter of seconds, making the media available back in the studio in real time. The ability to transfer media directly into a DaVinci Resolve bin while editors are working is revolutionary.
When uploading to Blackmagic Cloud, users can use an Apple or Android phone to connect to the internet via mobile data. Simply connect the phone to the USB-C port, and the Blackmagic PYXIS will configure itself for mobile data. Users can also connect via wired Ethernet using the camera’s Ethernet port. This allows users to transfer media while shooting, so post-production teams anywhere in the world can start working in real time.
The Blackmagic PYXIS supports the optional Blackmagic URSA Cine EVF viewfinder, which enables precise and easy outdoor and handheld shooting. Users get an integrated, high-quality 1920 x 1080 OLED color display with a built-in proximity sensor and a glass diopter for high precision with a wide range of focus adjustment.
The PYXIS model is equipped with a wide range of connections for audio, monitoring, power, and more. The camera includes a 12G-SDI output for monitoring with support for HDR and Ultra HD. Users can connect an SDI display to monitor the image on set, complete with on-screen information overlays that show the camera’s status.
The Blackmagic PYXIS has a built-in hardware streaming engine that supports RTMP and SRT streaming to YouTube, Facebook, X, and more. Users have two options for internet access: one is an Ethernet connection, or they can connect a 4G or 5G phone for mobile data. Since streaming is built into the camera, users can view the stream status and data transfer rate in the viewfinder and on the LCD screen.
