Blackmagic PYXIS Rosette Plate is an optional side plate for Blackmagic PYXIS cameras. It adds five 1/4″ thread mounts, four 3/8″ thread mounts and a rosette for attaching handgrips or extension arms to the side of the camera – so you can build PYXIS into a handheld rig or add an arm with a monitor without improvised adapters.

The optional side plate adds a mounting point for a handgrip or arm and more thread mounts for accessories.
A camera you build yourself
PYXIS has thread mounts on the top and bottom and interchangeable side plates. The Rosette Plate is the most versatile of them – it adds a rosette and the most thread mounts.
Rosette for handgrips and arms
Attach a side handgrip or an extension arm to the rosette – for handheld shooting, a monitor or a focus controller.
Nine thread mounts for accessories
Five 1/4″ and four 3/8″ thread mounts carry a microphone, wireless receiver, monitor bracket or light.
A plate on the side of the camera
The Rosette Plate mounts to the side of the Blackmagic PYXIS camera. The combination of five 1/4″ and four 3/8″ thread mounts leaves room for a well planned accessory layout without improvised adapters, and the rosette carries a handgrip or extension arm.
Swapping the side plate
Side plates screw onto the camera and can be swapped at any time, so the same body can be rebuilt for each production – from a compact camera on a crane or gimbal to a handheld rig with a handgrip.
Three PYXIS side plates
PYXIS ships with a standard side plate with two 1/4″ thread mounts and one 3/8″ thread mount, and an SSD side plate that holds a USB-C drive or a phone for live streaming. The Rosette Plate is the optional third – neither the camera nor a handgrip is included.
