Blackmagic Design SmartView 4K G3 is an Ultra HD broadcast monitor with both 12G‑SDI and SMPTE‑2110 IP video inputs. It connects directly to IP based broadcast systems and professional 12G‑SDI equipment up to 2160p60, making it suitable for broadcast and live production. It includes 3D LUTs, focus peaking, H/V delay, Blue Only, framing guides and safe-area monitoring.

SmartView 4K G3 connects 12G‑SDI equipment and SMPTE‑2110 IP workflows up to 2160p60. Its 19-inch rack design adds full UHD viewing, 3D LUTs and practical tools for precise focus and framing.

Dedicated controls provide input selection, brightness, H/V delay, Blue Only and zoom. Safe areas, four frame guides, focus peaking and 3D LUTs support camera work and evaluation of log or HDR sources.
IP, SDI and monitoring in one rack display
SmartView 4K G3 features built in optical and copper SMPTE‑2110 IP video connections so it can connect directly to IP based video systems. Two 12G‑SDI inputs connect a wide range of professional equipment, and either selected 12G‑SDI or 2110 input can feed the 12G‑SDI loop output. The strong machined aluminum chassis is only a few inches deep, leaving room behind the monitor to ventilate the rack. Video connections and VESA mounting points are on the rear.
The full resolution Ultra HD LCD displays every pixel of an Ultra HD image. Built for broadcast, it locks quickly to a new source even when a router changes sources constantly, and unlike a television it does not overscan the picture. The front-panel controls are tilted slightly for easier operation.
On-screen overlays include safe area and safe title markers, four independent frame guides (two vertical and two horizontal), and focus peaking with a dedicated button. Blue Only helps check hue from SD archive content, zoom assists focus adjustment, and 3D LUTs remap log film gamma or custom HDR profiles from the SDI or 2110 input for correct viewing.
For IP workflows, SmartView 4K G3 fully conforms to SMPTE‑2110 over optical fiber and copper 10G Ethernet: SMPTE‑2110‑20 uncompressed video, Blackmagic IP codec for high-frame-rate Ultra HD, SMPTE‑2110‑21, ‑30 and ‑40 are supported. NMOS lets 2110 devices work together as a large virtual router; Videohub Smart Control can act as an NMOS controller on a 2110 network.
