Blackmagic Design Streaming Encoder 4K Blackmagic Design
Kód: ABDLKWEB/D/SED4KXPodrobný popis
Blackmagic Streaming Encoder 4K is a self-contained hardware encoder for live streaming in HD and Ultra HD up to 2160p60. It accepts 12G-SDI, streams H.264 over RTMP or H.264 and H.265 over SRT, and also provides monitoring outputs and a USB webcam output. It connects to the internet via Ethernet or via a phone with 4G or 5G mobile data.
Ultra HD live streaming without a computer
Connect an SDI source from the control room, enter a stream key and press ON AIR. The built-in hardware engine streams to YouTube, Facebook, X, Twitch and Blackmagic Cloud.

Streaming without a computer or complex software
The hardware encoder with presets for popular platforms streams in broadcast quality without dropped frames. The whole solution fits in a chassis one third of a rack wide.
H.264 and H.265 over SRT and RTMP
HD and Ultra HD streams up to 2160p60, with CEA-608 and CEA-708 closed captions and source timecode.
Ethernet or mobile data
If Ethernet fails, the encoder automatically changes over to a phone with a 4G or 5G data connection.
USB-C as a webcam
A computer sees the encoder as a webcam at up to 2160p60 for Teams, Zoom or Webex.
Technical monitoring
The SDI and HDMI monitor output shows the picture, audio meters, data rate graphs and stream settings.
Self-contained encoder one third of a rack wide
Blackmagic Streaming Encoder contains a powerful hardware encoder and utility software with a wide range of presets, so connecting to most streaming platforms is easy and you don't need a computer running complicated streaming software. Just connect an SDI source from a switcher, connect to the internet via Ethernet or a smartphone, enter the stream key and press ON AIR.

Popular streaming platforms
YouTube lets you use two encoders for primary and secondary streams and supports closed captions, Facebook spreads the live stream among friends and professional networks, X lets you broadcast live events globally and Twitch is the leading platform for gamers and esports. The encoder can also stream via the new Blackmagic Cloud streaming features.

Blackmagic Streaming Utility
In the utility software you select the platform and enter or update the stream key; it runs on Mac and Windows and connects to the encoder via USB or remotely via Ethernet. It manages multiple encoders and decoders at once and updates their software. Presets are stored in an XML file, so technically minded users can modify advanced settings or add their own platform.

4G and 5G mobile data
At a remote location, or as a backup for Ethernet, connect a phone to the USB-C port on the front or rear panel and stream over 4G or 5G mobile data. If the internet fails, the encoder automatically moves its connection to the phone; you can prioritize either Ethernet or the phone.

Webcam output
The USB-C connections can be used as a webcam output. A computer recognizes the unit as a common webcam, but it actually receives a broadcast quality SDI source in 720p, 1080p or 2160p. It works with Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Webex and any other software that works with a webcam.

Technical monitoring output
The graphics-based monitoring output shows the picture, audio meters with accurate ballistics (VU, PPM and more), graphs of codec data rate and cache fill over the last 60 seconds, a summary of stream settings and detailed SDI input information including video and audio bit depth. A large ON AIR indicator shows when you are streaming; the output is available on both SDI and HDMI.

12G-SDI input with Teranex conversion
The 12G-SDI input handles all HD and Ultra HD formats up to 2160p60, and the 12G-SDI loop output lets you loop through several encoders to stream to multiple services. Teranex conversion technology automatically converts HD or Ultra HD input to the chosen streaming standard, so you can run production at a higher quality than the stream.
Broadcast links with the decoder
Blackmagic Streaming Decoder 4K receives the H.264 or H.265 stream from the encoder and converts it to SDI and HDMI video, so video can be sent point-to-point between remote locations. The decoder's 12G-SDI reference input carries tally, camera control and talkback back to the encoder – everyone is remote, but still working together.

Camera control, tally and talkback
Most Blackmagic Design cameras accept control, talkback and tally from an ATEM switcher over SDI, so you can change ISO, tint, iris, focus and zoom remotely. The switcher's SDI output connects to the decoder's reference input, and control then comes out of the encoder's SDI monitor output into the camera's SDI input.

Modular Teranex Mini design
The encoder has a built-in AC power supply and a 4-pin 12 V DC input for backup or battery power. It is only 5.5 inches wide, so you can mount three in a single rack unit for simultaneous streaming to independent services, or combine it with an ATEM 1 M/E Constellation switcher in a single rack unit. The front panel has USB for quick local setting changes from a computer.

Redundancy for reliable streaming
The encoder connects to the internet via Ethernet or a phone and automatically fails over to the backup in case of an outage. Two compact, inexpensive units can stream to both primary and secondary YouTube servers, and the AC and DC inputs allow backup battery power. It can be controlled from the front panel buttons and menus as well as with Blackmagic Streaming Utility.
Connections and controls
The front panel has USB-C, control panel buttons, the LCD display and a spin knob.

The rear panel has an AC power input, a 12 V DC power input, Ethernet for the live stream, a USB-C webcam output, HDMI and SDI monitor outputs, a 12G-SDI input and a 12G-SDI loop output.

Dimensions and weight
140 × 44 × 175.5 mm (W × H × D), weight 755 g. One third rack width, 1 rack unit high.
