Blackmagic Studio Camera 4K Plus G2 is a compact 4K studio camera with an active MFT mount, 13-stop sensor, 12G‑SDI and HDMI. Its large 7″ touchscreen LCD, tally, talkback, remote control and 12-bit Blackmagic RAW recording to external USB disks provide a complete live-production camera workstation without a large camera chain.

Studio Camera 4K Plus G2 combines an active MFT mount, a 13-stop 4K sensor, 12G‑SDI and HDMI in a compact camera with a large 7″ touchscreen viewfinder. It is built for live production and can simultaneously record 12-bit Blackmagic RAW to external USB disks.
A reliable link to production
The 12G‑SDI output and program SDI input carry video, control, tally and talkback. HDMI 2.0 remains a practical route to ATEM Mini and other HDMI switchers. Remote control works over SDI, HDMI or USB Ethernet; talkback uses SDI channels 15 and 16 with a 3.5 mm TRRS headset.
Image and operation in one place
The active MFT mount can control iris, focus and zoom on supported lenses, while Focus Demand and Zoom Demand can sit on the tripod handles. The 7″ capacitive 1920 × 1200 LCD, rated at 600 nits, supports framing, exposure checks and direct camera-menu operation.
Studio features without a large camera chain
The Blackmagic Studio Camera 4K family brings the principles of a full-size studio camera to a lightweight integrated body. Its sensitive wide-dynamic-range sensor and Generation 5 color processing handle live production and recording in difficult light; the built-in color corrector can be controlled from the production desk.
The touchscreen 7″ viewfinder, physical brightness, contrast and focus controls, front and rear tally, and integrated stereo microphones put essential operational information at the camera. Two USB‑C 3.1 Gen 1 ports support external media, lens-control demands and updates; Blackmagic RAW recording to USB disks simplifies handoff to DaVinci Resolve.
Unlike the Pro variants, this exact model has no 10G Ethernet or XLR audio inputs. It does provide 12G‑SDI, HDMI, a 3.5 mm stereo input that can be used for timecode, a headset connector and a locking 12V DC input.
