Blackmagic Teranex Mini IP Video 12G is a bi-directional SDI to IP converter with the low latency TICO codec. It carries HD over the built-in gigabit Ethernet and Ultra HD up to 2160p60 over optional 10G optical Ethernet with an SFP. Network video is configured and switched as easily as SDI signals – using Blackmagic Videohub software and hardware control panels.

Convert 12G-SDI video to IP and back over your existing Ethernet infrastructure. Teranex Mini IP Video 12G works with Blackmagic Videohub control for practical routing in the studio.

Both directions in one unit

The 12G-SDI input and two reclocked 12G-SDI outputs support HD, 2K, Ultra HD and DCI 4K. Gigabit Ethernet carries HD up to 1080p60; optional 10G optical Ethernet with an SFP extends the path to Ultra HD up to 2160p60.

Teranex Mini Smart Panel

The optional Teranex Mini Smart Panel replaces the front cover of the converter: remove the two screws on each side, pull the cover off and screw the panel on. The color LCD then shows the video passing through, while the buttons and rotary knob open a settings menu right on the unit – ideal in the field without external monitors and in racks full of converters.

Settings via mini switches, software and panel

The converter is set up with its built-in mini switches, the Blackmagic IP Video Setup software for Mac and Windows or the optional Teranex Mini Smart Panel. Ethernet or USB 2.0 is used for updates and IP address setup; settings are preserved during a power failure and restored instantly at power on.

In the rack or on the desk

The compact converter can sit on a desk, hide behind equipment or be rack mounted – the optional Blackmagic Universal Rack Shelf (1U) holds Teranex Mini together with other 1/3 and 1/2 rack width Blackmagic products. Crossflow cooling with a heat pipe keeps the converters running even when mounted side by side.

Connections

The rear has an IEC power connector, 1G Ethernet with PoE+, a slot for optional 10G Ethernet, a 12G-SDI input and two 12G-SDI outputs; the front has USB and the mini switches.
