The Blackmagic StudioBridge 10G PWR allows customers to connect 8 separate 10G Ethernet SMPTE-2110 connections to modern 100G systems with SMPTE-2022-7 redundancy. This means that up to 8 separate cameras or converters can be integrated into an IP video system via 100G Ethernet.

Eight 10G devices in a redundant 100G system

StudioBridge 10G PWR combines eight individual 10G Ethernet SMPTE-2110 connections into a redundant pair of 100G links. Each 10G port also provides up to 90 W of PoE++ for compatible cameras and converters.

A bridge between the network edge and a 100G backbone

The unit aggregates eight Ultra HD or HD IP sources. Its two 100G QSFP28 links support ST 2022-7: identical IP streams can travel through two independent networks, and the system seamlessly uses the packet that arrives first.

A separate 1G RJ45 port is provided for NMOS control, configuration and updates; USB-C is used for configuration and firmware.

Power and monitoring from the rack front

Eight 10G RJ45 PoE++ ports supply compatible downstream devices with up to 90 W per port. Two IEC C14 inputs and two internal AC power supplies improve operational resilience. The built-in 2.2-inch LCD, three buttons and spin knob provide video, audio, standard and timecode status directly from the front panel.

Redundancy for uninterrupted IP operation

Blackmagic StudioBridge 10G PWR is designed to connect single-link 10G Ethernet SMPTE-2110 devices into redundant 100G Ethernet systems. Eight separate 10G Ethernet devices can operate through a redundant pair of 100G Ethernet connections, while PoE++ power travels over the same Ethernet connection.

Blackmagic 2110 IP products use SMPTE-2110 for the transport, synchronization and description of 10-bit video, audio and ancillary data on a managed IP broadcast network. SMPTE 2022-7 redundancy sends two identical copies through independent network paths and compares incoming RTP packets by sequence number so output remains seamless if one path fails.
