The Datavideo PTC-285 is a professional 4K PTZ camera with 12x optical and 16x digital zoom for live production, lecture halls and conferences. Its 1/2.8-inch Sony CMOS sensor and automatic tracking keep a presenter or performer in frame. HDMI 2.0 supports up to 2160p60, 3G-SDI up to 1080p60, IP output offers selectable 4K NDI|HX3 with simultaneous Full HD HDMI, or 4K HDMI with Full HD NDI|HX3; streaming supports RTSP, RTMP(S), SRT and ONVIF. Remote control is available over RS-422, DVIP or VISCA over IP. The camera is compatible with Datavideo RMC-180 and RMC-300A controllers and the PTZ View Assist app, which can manage up to four DVIP cameras. PoE can simplify installation with a single network cable.

4K PTZ Camera

The Datavideo PTC-285, available in dark gray, captures speakers, performers, and the entire scene for live broadcasts, conference rooms, educational settings, and religious services. A 1/2.8″ Sony CMOS sensor with 8.51-megapixel resolution, 12× optical zoom, and an 80° wide-angle field of view help produce a detailed 4K image.

Automatic tracking keeps the selected speaker in frame. HDMI, 3G-SDI, and IP outputs operate simultaneously. When streaming via NDI|HX3, you can choose between 4K video over NDI and Full HD over HDMI, or 4K over HDMI and Full HD over NDI. The camera also supports RTSP, RTMP/RTMPS, SRT, ONVIF, and multicast; it can be powered by PoE+ or 12 V DC and controlled remotely via IR, a web interface, RS-422, and network protocols.

Automatic Speaker Tracking

The camera automatically tracks the selected person and adjusts its movement as well as pan and tilt speeds to ensure a smooth, natural shot. When multiple people are speaking, you can specify who the camera should track.

Simultaneous Video Outputs

HDMI 2.0 and IP provide video up to 2160p at 50/60 frames per second; 3G-SDI transmits up to 1080p at 50/60 frames per second. The outputs can be used simultaneously in various parts of the production chain.

Streaming and Network Integration

RTSP, RTMP(S), SRT, ONVIF, and multicast are available for IP transmission. The NDI|HX3 output can be set to 4K, while HDMI simultaneously provides Full HD, or vice versa: 4K via HDMI and Full HD via NDI|HX3. Two network streams are available for streaming.

Control and Installation

The PTC-285 is compatible with Datavideo RMC-180 and RMC-300A controllers and the PTZ View Assist app. It can also be controlled via IR, a web interface, RS-422, VISCA, or DVIP. PoE+ (IEEE 802.3at) delivers power over an Ethernet cable; a 12 V DC adapter is also available as an alternative.
