The DZOFilm Octopus PL → L-Mount is a precision mechanical adapter designed for using PL cine lenses on cameras with an L-Mount bayonet mount. The active lock minimizes play between the lens and the camera body; the stainless steel bayonet mount, the matte anti-glare interior, and the support foot with a 1/4″-20 thread help create a stable cine rig.

Octopus pairs a PL cine lens with a L-Mount camera body. Its Active Lock is designed for a tight, play-free connection so the assembly remains stable on a rig.

The adapter is purely mechanical and contains no optical elements. When mounted correctly, it therefore causes neither image cropping nor vignetting on its own.

Active Lock

The Active Lock design reduces play, gaps and wobble between lens and camera without further adjustment.

Precise flange

The manufacturer specifies a ±0.01 mm flange-distance manufacturing tolerance for consistent infinity focus.

For a cine rig

A stainless-steel mount and removable 1/4″-20 support foot transfer part of a lens load away from the camera mount.

Construction and light control

A flocked, light-absorbing inner finish helps reduce internal reflections and stray light. The metal construction is made for frequent lens swaps while maintaining precise flange distance.
