The Vespid Prime 125 mm T2.1 delivers significant perspective compression in a compact body for full-frame cine setups. The manual EF version uses the same 0.8 MOD mechanics as the rest of the series.
125 mm: Portraits and close-ups from a distance
The longest focal length in the series is ideal for portraits and close-ups from a greater distance. Uniformly threaded focus rings facilitate work with a follow focus and matte box.
Smooth Focus Transition
The 16-blade aperture and APO optical design help create natural bokeh, reduce chromatic aberration, and maintain neutral color reproduction. Fully manual operation allows for repeatable adjustments to both exposure and focus.
Precise and repeatable focusing
The 270° focus ring offers ample travel for smooth focus transitions. The design minimizes focus breathing and does not change the lens length during focusing, which helps keep the setup balanced.
Compact all-metal construction
The aluminum body weighs approximately 924 g, and the 46.5 mm image circle covers full-frame and Vista Vision sensors. The lens is designed for fully manual film work without electronic communication or optical stabilization.
