The DZOFILM Vespid 12 mm T2.8 is an ultra-wide-angle cine lens for Full Frame and Vista Vision with a 46.5 mm image circle. It offers an aperture range of T2.8–T22, a minimum focusing distance of 0.2 m, a 77 mm filter thread, and a PL/EF mount; thanks to its compact 72 mm diameter and weight of approximately 725 g, it is suitable for handheld shooting, gimbals, and drones.

Ultra-wide angle without the extra weight

The 12mm Vespid expands the Full Frame/Vista Vision cine lens family with a compact ultra-wide focal length. Its 15-element, 10-group optical system, T2.8 maximum aperture, and 46.5 mm image circle provide the flexibility to capture wide shots, tight interiors, and scenes in challenging lighting conditions.

Precise Manual Control

Fully manual focus with a 270° range allows for precise and repeatable focus adjustments. The focus and aperture rings across the entire Vespid line share a unified position and a 0.8 MOD pitch, so there’s no need to readjust the follow-focus or other accessories when swapping lenses.

One lens, multiple camera setups

The interchangeable system supports both PL and EF mounts, and with DZOFILM Octopus adapters, the lens can be adapted to other compatible camera systems. The 80 mm front diameter facilitates the use of cine accessories, while the M77 thread allows for direct filter attachment; the aluminum body is 72 mm long and weighs approximately 725 g.
