The Vespid Prime 50 mm T2.1 combines a versatile perspective with a T2.1 aperture and a compact body for handheld, gimbal, and cine rig use. The EF mount is part of the Vespid series’ interchangeable lens system.
50 mm: Versatile Shot
The natural perspective of a 50 mm lens is ideal for dialogue, close-ups, and observational shots. The standard 0.8 MOD ring pitch makes it easy to integrate the lens into a follow-focus setup.
Smooth Focus Transition
The 16-blade aperture and APO optical design help create natural bokeh, reduce chromatic aberration, and maintain neutral color reproduction. Fully manual operation allows for repeatable adjustments to both exposure and focus.
Precise and Repeatable Focusing
The 270° focus ring offers ample travel for smooth transitions. The design minimizes focus breathing and does not change the lens length during focusing, which helps keep the setup balanced.
Compact all-metal construction
The aluminum body weighs approximately 732 g, and the 46.5 mm image circle covers full-frame and Vista Vision sensors. The lens is designed for fully manual film work without electronic communication or optical stabilization.
