The DZOFILM Vespid Prime 2 105 mm T1.9 is a telephoto lens for Full Frame and Vista Vision cameras with a PL mount. It features a 46.5 mm image circle, a constant T1.9 aperture, manual focus with a 300° travel, and a compact body measuring 80 mm in length.

The 105 mm focal length adds a compact telephoto lens to the lineup, ideal for portraits, close-ups, and achieving a pronounced separation of the subject from the background. When swapping lenses, the controls and dimensions remain consistent with the other Prime 2 lenses.
REDESIGNED OPTICS
The new generation utilizes proprietary aspherical elements with precision polishing and multi-layer nano coatings. The design is focused on higher resolution, cleaner image transmission, reduced reflections, and suppression of stray light; at the same time, it preserves the natural rendering of out-of-focus areas.
The 105mm lens features an optical design consisting of 12 elements in 8 groups. The 10-blade aperture, 80 mm front diameter, and M77 filter thread ensure compatibility across the Prime 2 series.
CONSISTENT CINE WORKFLOW
The entire Vespid Prime 2 series includes focal lengths of 18, 24, 35, 50, 85, and 105 mm. They share a constant T1.9 aperture, the same 80 mm diameter, an 80 mm barrel length, and 0.8 MOD gear pitch, so there is no need to adjust accessory settings when changing focal lengths.
The manual focus ring with a 300° rotation is designed for precise operation with a follow focus. The built-in Cooke /i protocol transmits lens metadata—such as focal length, T-stop, and focus distance—to compatible cameras for a smoother workflow on set and in post-production.
