The DZOFILM Vespid Prime 2 35 mm T1.9 is a versatile full-frame/Vista Vision cine lens with a PL mount. It features a 46.5 mm image circle, a constant T1.9 aperture, manual focus with a 300° travel, and a compact 80 mm-long body—ideal for gimbals, handheld rigs, and full-fledged film setups.

The 35 mm focal length is a versatile staple of any cine kit: it offers a natural perspective for dialogue, documentary, and on-location work, all in a compact body designed for Full Frame and Vista Vision.
REDESIGNED OPTICS
The new generation utilizes proprietary aspherical elements with precision polishing and multi-layer nano-coatings. The design is focused on higher resolution, cleaner image reproduction, reduced reflections, and suppression of stray light, while maintaining a natural rendering of out-of-focus areas.
The 35mm lens features an optical design of 13 elements in 9 groups and a minimum focusing distance of 0.50 m. The 10-blade aperture, 80 mm front diameter, and M77 filter thread ensure compatibility across the Prime 2 series.
CONSISTENT CINE WORKFLOW
The entire Vespid Prime 2 series includes focal lengths of 18, 24, 35, 50, 85, and 105 mm. They share a constant T1.9 maximum aperture, the same 80 mm diameter, an 80 mm barrel length, and 0.8 MOD gear pitch, so there is no need to adjust accessory settings when changing focal lengths.
The manual focus ring with a 300° rotation is designed for precise operation with a follow focus. The built-in Cooke /i protocol transmits lens metadata—such as focal length, T-stop, and focus distance—to compatible cameras for a smoother workflow both on set and in post-production.
