DZOFILM X-tract 18–28 mm T8 is a modular full-frame macro probe zoom with a PL mount. This kit combines 90° / 360° viewing-angle modules with one interchangeable R unit, letting you change perspective while retaining the same 18–28 mm zoom, T8–T45 aperture and cine controls. DZOFILM X-tract 18–28 mm T8 is a modular full-frame macro probe zoom with a PL mount. CHANGE THE ANGLE, KEEP THE WORKFLOW

The 90° and 360° modules included in this kit provide both a fixed and a rotating periscope perspective. The optics retain focus through zooming, while the 300° manual throw supports precise follow-focus work. DZOFILM notes that footage from the 90° module requires a mirror flip.

MACRO IN CONFINED SPACES

Focus begins at 0.47 m from the sensor plane, while the working distance in front of the lens is just 6 mm. With up to 2.1× magnification at 28 mm, it can capture fine textures, liquids and miniatures from extremely close range.

CONSTRUCTION AND MODULES

These detail images show the two interchangeable X‑tract probe modules supplied in this kit. The 90° and 360° modules change perspective while the 18–28 mm zoom and cine controls remain consistent.

DETAIL AND PERSPECTIVE

A 6 mm working distance and up to 2.1× magnification at 28 mm let the camera move extremely close to a surface while retaining control of the shot. The image shown is an official X‑tract series sample; it is not a test exclusively of this exact 90°/360° kit.
