Detailné informácie

Podrobný popis

The FEELWORLD FW568S is a six-inch Full HD field monitor with 4K HDMI and 3G-SDI input and output. It weighs 203 grams, so it suits a gimbal or a small mirrorless body, and the back carries an F970 battery plate alongside an external install and power kit — screw a wireless transmitter, an LED light or a converter onto it and run all of it from the same battery. A scroll wheel drives the icon-based menu, and the tool set covers waveform, vector scope, histogram, focus assist and up to 32 custom 3D LUTs.

FEELWORLD FW568S

A six-inch Full HD on-camera monitor

1920 × 1080 IPS panel, 450 cd/m² brightness, 1000:1 contrast

FEELWORLD FW568S

The FW568S is a six-inch field monitor with an IPS panel and a native resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels. A dot pitch of 0.069 mm works out at roughly 367 pixels per inch, so focus and the fine detail that a camera screen loses are visible on it.

450 cd/m² of brightness and a 1000:1 contrast ratio make the FW568S an indoor and open-shade monitor; a sunshade is supplied in the box for harsh sun. The viewing angle is 80° each way horizontally and vertically — 160° in total — so colleagues standing beside you see the picture as well.

The backlight is LED and the aspect ratio is 16:9.

A compact body at 203 grams

151 × 92 × 31.4 mm — for a gimbal or a small mirrorless body

The monitor weighs 203 grams and measures 151 × 92 × 31.4 millimetres. It hangs on a gimbal rig or a small mirrorless body without forcing you to rebalance or add counterweights.

Weight is exactly why gimbal operators and camera assistants — the people who keep moving during a shoot — reach for the FW568S.

Scroll wheel control and a new menu

One wheel walks through every setting

FEELWORLD FW568S

Settings are driven by the scroll wheel on the top edge: turn to choose, press to confirm. You do not have to feel around for the right button or remember what sits under which key.

The menu is icon-based and the numeric values are visible at a glance, so you find your way around it under time pressure. MODE, F1 and F2/EXIT sit beside the wheel; F1 and F2 take whatever function you use most on a shoot.

An F970 external install and power kit on the back

A wireless transmitter or an LED light with no battery of its own

The back of the FW568S is split in two. On the left sits the F970 battery plate that the battery slides into. On the right sits the F970 external install and power kit — a plate with two cross slots that a wireless transmitter, an LED light or a converter screws onto, and which powers them at the same time.

The accessory therefore needs no battery of its own: it rides on the monitor and draws current from there. That removes cables tangling around the rig, and weight with them.

Loosening the screws in the slots moves the accessory along. When you do not need the external install and power kit, loosen the screws and take the whole thing off.

4K HDMI and 3G-SDI, in and out

The loop-through output sends the signal on — to the director or to a recorder

Input and output are both dual. HDMI accepts up to 3840 × 2160 pixels at 30 Hz and 4096 × 2160 at 24 Hz, plus the usual formats from 480i to 1080p60. 3G-SDI accepts 720p, 1080i and 1080p including the 24sF and 23.98sF modes.

Both outputs loop through, so the FW568S drops in between a cine camera, a DSLR or a mirrorless body and passes the signal on — to a second monitor, to a recorder or over a wireless transmitter to the director. More people on set see the picture, and no separate converter is needed for it.

Audio embedded in the incoming signal is monitored on the 3.5 mm stereo headphone output.

Three ways to power it, and an output for the camera

A Sony F970 battery, the DC input or USB-C

There are three ways in: the battery plate for Sony F-series batteries (F970, F960, F950, F930, F770, F750, F730, F570, F550 and F530), a mains adaptor into the DC input — the manufacturer recommends 12 V / 1.5 A — or USB-C from a power bank or a phone charger that supplies at least 5 V / 2 A. The monitor accepts 7 to 24 V and draws no more than 9 W. No battery is included, it is bought separately.

The DC 8 V output (5.5 / 2.1 mm barrel) can power the camera as well. The dummy-battery cable is bought separately to suit the model — the manufacturer lists Sony NP-FW50, Canon LP-E6 and Panasonic DMW-BLF19. Because every camera draws a different amount, it recommends a fully charged high-capacity battery for the job.

Scopes, a vector scope and up to 32 custom LUTs

Keep exposure and focus under control on site

FEELWORLD FW568S

The tool set covers waveform, vector scope, RGB histogram, focus assist, zebra, false colour, monochrome view, zoom, pixel to pixel, image flip, anamorphic de-squeeze, a nine grid, safe-area markers and an embedded-audio display. Every scope can also be switched on at once in All Scopes mode.

A log-to-Rec.709 conversion is built in, and up to 32 custom .cube tables can be loaded over the USB-C cable alongside it. That puts the target look in front of you while you are still shooting, instead of leaving you to imagine it.

Grading effectively moves forward: on set you can tell whether a shot leaves enough room for the look you are planning.

Three 1/4" threads and a sunshade in the box

Top, bottom and right-hand side

The monitor has three 1/4"-20 threads — top, bottom and right-hand side — so it mounts flat as well as upright. A tilt arm with a cold shoe foot is included: the upper mounting point turns the monitor a full 360° top to bottom, the lower one a full 360° left to right. The tilt arm carries a shoe of its own for a microphone, a light or a wireless receiver.

Two small dots on the tilt arm line up with the monitor; the joint is then firmer and you can turn the monitor without loosening the screws.

A sunshade is included as well and attaches to the monitor with velcro — the frame is built into it as one piece, so it goes on and comes off in moments.
