The RRU base station is the heart of the Hollyland Solidcom M1 Pro wireless intercom. It serves up to eight beltpacks in full duplex, offers up to 400 m (1,300 ft) of range on the 1.9 GHz band and cascades with further base stations via IP and 4-wire audio. It is powered over PoE or by an NP-F battery, so it suits the studio as well as the field.

Aluminium body for demanding use. The station has a built-in panel antenna and connectors for two external fiberglass antennas. Groups are set in the station menu using the display and front-panel buttons, or on the device web page or in the Hollyvox app.

The station manages communication for up to eight beltpacks, holds groups A, B and C and links the intercom to further stations and to audio systems.

Power, 4-wire RJ45 audio, USB, 2-wire XLR audio and PoE/LAN sit side by side, keeping the cabling tidy.

Up to eight beltpacks per base station

Further base stations join by cascading over IP or the 4-wire interface, so the system can grow virtually without limit.

400 m range

The built-in panel antenna reaches up to 400 m in front of the station and 50 m behind it; the external fiberglass antennas cover about 300 m in all directions.

2-wire and 4-wire audio

The base station connects to other Hollyland intercoms, to 2-wire and 4-wire audio systems and, via the Hollyland converter, to walkie-talkies.

Cascading several base stations

Two stations are most easily linked via IP or the 4-wire interface; for three or more, both methods are combined. Keep the stations at least 1.5 m apart.

Three groups, even in a cascade

Users can be split into groups A, B and C – camera, lighting and directing, for example. Groups are set on the base station or on the web page, where the configuration file can be saved and imported.
