The set brings together the filters most often used with this kit, so they need not be bought one at a time and all mount the same way. Exactly what is included is listed below. The filters can be used individually, depending on what the scene calls for.

The glass carries 28 anti-reflective layers and reflects only 0.2 % of the light, so no ghosting or veiling appears against the light.

The surface repels water and grease, so drops run off and fingerprints wipe away without smears; the coating also stands up to cleaning in the field.

The four densities cover the whole day: ND4 takes two stops and suits an overcast sky, ND8 three stops in broken cloud, ND64 six stops in harsh sun and ND1000 ten stops for long exposures, when water should smear into mist and the passers-by vanish from the square.

The frame is aviation aluminium and measures 3.3 mm, so the filter shades no corners even on a wide-angle lens, and the knurling can be unscrewed with a wet hand.
