The K&F Concept FD-EF adapter lets you mount Canon FD/FL-mount lenses on Canon EF/EF-S-mount cameras. It has no electronic contacts: you focus manually, set the aperture on the lens, and the lens focuses all the way to infinity. A built-in multi-coated correction lens lets FD/FL lenses focus all the way to infinity on EOS DSLRs.

Canon FD lenses on Canon EOS cameras

With the FD-EF adapter you can attach Canon FD/FL-mount lenses to Canon EF/EF-S-mount cameras and keep using them on a modern body. The adapter is precision-made, so the lens sits firmly and focuses all the way to infinity. Thanks to the correction lens this also applies to EOS DSLRs, on which an FD/FL lens would not reach infinity without it.

Correction lens for infinity focus

At the centre of the adapter is a multi-coated correction lens that maintains image quality and lets FD/FL lenses focus all the way to infinity. The body made of copper and aluminium alloy fits the lens and camera precisely, and a red dot makes mounting easy.

Manual focus and aperture

You focus with the ring on the lens while the camera works in aperture priority or manual mode. The aperture is set with the aperture ring on the lens.

Camera settings

Before first use, enable the option in the camera menu that allows the shutter to be released without a lens attached (Release w/o Lens). The camera does not recognise an adapter without contacts and would not release the shutter without this setting.

Good to know

The adapter is designed for Canon FD and FL lenses only. Canon EF lenses have a different mount and do not fit.

Compatible cameras

The adapter is designed for Canon EF/EF-S-mount cameras, for example Canon EOS 1D / 1Ds, 5D, 7D, Rebel; Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K, Z CAM E2.
