The K&F Concept KF-150 macro ring flash with a guide number of 14 lights close-up subjects evenly and without harsh shadows. The control unit sits in the hot shoe of a Canon DSLR and works in E-TTL, manual and stroboscopic modes. The two flash tubes A and B fire together, separately or at a set ratio, at 5500 K and CRI 97+.

The flash head mounts on the lens via one of six included adapter rings from 52 to 77 mm. Full power recycles in 2.9 s, and the unit has a backlit LCD, a focus assist light and overheat protection. The flash is designed for Canon digital SLRs with a standard hot shoe.

Portraits and macro

The ring of light around the lens gives even illumination with soft shadows – for macro shots of insects, plants and jewellery, close-up portraits and documentation.

Stroboscopic mode

In Multi mode the flash fires a series of bursts during one exposure, capturing the stages of a movement in a single frame.
