The K&F Concept L/R-NIK adapter mounts lenses with the Leica R mount on DSLRs with the Nikon F mount. It is purely mechanical, with no electronic contacts: focusing is done by hand on the lens and the aperture is set with the lens aperture ring. The all-metal adapter is precisely machined.

Leica R lenses on Nikon F bodies

With the L/R-NIK adapter, Leica R lenses can be used again on a digital Nikon body. The adapter does not allow infinity focus – the lens only focuses at shorter distances.

Solid metal construction

The adapter is all-metal, made of brass and aluminium. Precise machining ensures a firm connection without play.

Manual focus and aperture

The adapter has no electronic contacts and the camera does not recognise the lens – autofocus, aperture control from the body and lens data in EXIF do not work. Focus with the ring on the lens; magnification or focus peaking in live view makes precise focusing easier. The aperture is set with the aperture ring on the lens; lenses without an aperture ring cannot be stopped down with this adapter.

Heavy lenses

Support heavy lenses with a lens foot or a tripod so that their weight is not carried by the adapter mount alone.
