The K&F Concept LP-48 levelling base goes between the tripod and the head and levels the camera without moving the tripod legs. Three adjustment wheels tilt the top plate by ±5° and a bubble level shows when it is level. The aluminium base weighs 200 g and carries 15 kg, with a 3/8″ screw on top and 1/4″ and 3/8″ threads underneath.
A level base matters most for panoramas: when the head rotates in a level plane, the frames line up and stitch without cropping. You can also use the base with a video head, a gimbal head or under a camera slider.
Level in a few seconds
Each of the three wheels raises or lowers one side of the plate, with a 6 mm height difference. Just watch the bubble and turn until it sits in the centre.
For video and panoramas
The base helps wherever a straight horizon matters – panoramas, timelapses or video with smooth head rotation.
