It holds magnetically straight on the camera lens: hold it up and it is on, and it comes off just as fast. It weighs only 5.7 g and the frame is aluminium alloy, so the gimbal keeps working with it. The optics are AGC optical glass with 28 coatings that repel water, dust and grease and resist scratches; the inside of the frame is blackened so it does not reflect light into the picture.
