A Nano-B +2 handheld diopter filter that throws part of the foreground out of focus and wraps the subject in a dreamy veil, the kind otherwise made with objects held in front of the lens. It also magnifies close subjects like a close-up lens. Held by a metal handle, the effect can be moved during a take; K9 glass, with a pouch and three cleaning cloths.

Blurred foreground and magnification

The +2 diopter lens adds a blurred layer to the foreground: part of the image stays sharp, the rest melts away and the scene looks dreamlike. The effect works best at focal lengths of 35–85 mm. Because the lens magnifies, it can also bring a small object closer, much like macro photography.

Held in the hand

The filter does not screw onto a thread: it has a CNC-machined metal handle and is held freely in front of a camera or phone lens. Moving your hand decides which part of the image stays clean and where the effect appears, even during a take. The handle has a 1/4" thread, so the filter can also be mounted on a tripod, an articulated arm or another bracket.

K9 glass and cloths

The effect element is made of K9 optical glass, which keeps a clean rendering with limited colour fringing and distortion. Three vacuum-packed lint-free cleaning cloths come with the filter.
