Nano-B — spiral halo filter 67 mm, wraps the lights in a swirled veil. It suits music videos, concerts and backlit portraits, where the shot should draw the eye to the centre and look dreamlike straight out of the camera, without editing on the computer.

A swirling veil around the frame edge

A spiral is ground into the glass, wrapping bright areas in a swirled veil and softly smearing the edges of the frame. The centre stays sharp, so the main subject holds and the blur works only around it. Turning the filter changes the way the veil curls.

The filter turns through a full 360°, so the veil can be placed exactly where it belongs and the other half of the frame stays clean. It works best against point lights — lamps, a low sun above the horizon, a reflection on water. The glass is clear and does not shift colour; the effect lies only in the drawing of the light, so neither skin nor sky picks up a cast.
