Nano-B — spiral halo filter 72 mm, wraps the lights in a swirled veil. It suits portraits, concerts and night scenes where the area around the subject should swirl into a dreamy blur right in the frame, without masks or effects in post-production.

A swirling veil around the subject

A spiral is ground into the glass, wrapping bright areas in a swirled veil and softly smearing the edges of the frame. The centre stays sharp, so the main subject holds and the blur works only around it. Turning the filter changes the way the veil curls.

The filter turns through a full 360°, so the veil can be placed exactly where it belongs and the other half of the frame stays clean. It works best against point lights — lamps, a low sun above the horizon, a reflection on water. The glass is clear and does not shift colour; the effect lies only in the drawing of the light, so neither skin nor sky picks up a cast.
