Nano-B — spiral halo filter 77 mm, wraps the lights in a swirled veil. It suits music videos, concerts and backlit portraits, where the shot should draw the eye to the centre and look dreamlike straight out of the camera, without editing on the computer.

A swirling veil around the frame edge

A spiral is ground into the glass, wrapping bright areas in a swirled veil and softly smearing the edges of the frame. The centre stays sharp, so the main subject holds and the blur works only around it. Turning the filter changes the way the veil curls.

The filter turns through a full 360°, so you choose which way the veil curls around the lights and which part of the frame it softens. The effect shows in the finder and on the screen, so it can be built while shooting.
