Stars from points of light
A star filter has a fine grid etched into the glass that turns every point light into a star with rays. It comes into its own in the night-time city, on Christmas lights, candles or reflections on water. The number and angle of the rays are set by turning the front ring.
Rotating the front part switches between four points for a restrained effect and eight points for a stronger glow, so at a concert, a party or over glasses the stars can be matched to the scene without changing filters.
