The K&F Concept Nano-Xcel is a lightweight matte box with a carbon fibre top flag that shades the lens from direct sunlight and stray light. The body is only 34 mm thick, so it does not vignette even with a 16 mm lens, and the aperture measures 105 mm. It attaches to the lens via 67, 72, 77, 82 and 95 mm adapter rings and holds two 4 × 5.65" filters; the kit includes two filter frames and a storage case.

Carbon fibre flag

The 17.1 × 13 cm top flag is made of carbon fibre, so it is light and rigid. It tilts through 180° and the angle is locked with a screw, so the flag shades the lens according to the position of the sun. The matte box thus prevents flare and keeps the contrast of the shot.

Storage case

The matte box, adapter rings and square filters fit into a rigid zipped storage case, so the kit travels together and the filters do not get scratched.

Five adapter rings

The matte box attaches to the lens via a 67, 72, 77, 82 or 95 mm adapter ring that screws into the filter thread. The rings have their own thread, so screw-in UV, CPL, ND or GND filters of the same diameter can be fitted in the matte box too.

Slim 34 mm profile

The matte box body is only 34 mm thick, so even a 16 mm wide-angle lens shows no vignetting in the corners. The aperture has a diameter of 105 mm.

The matte box body has a cold shoe for a microphone or LED light, two 1/4" threads and one 3/8" thread for further accessories.
