A Nikon EN-EL15C 2600 mAh replacement battery with a USB-C port built into the battery. A cable and a power bank, laptop or car charger are all you need, with no separate charger to carry. Fully decoded chip: the camera shows the remaining capacity and raises no third-party battery warning. 2600 mAh capacity

The battery has a capacity of 2600 mAh. In practice that is roughly 450 shots each. In video one battery lasts around 3 h.

Charging over USB-C

The battery charges straight over USB-C, so on the road a cable and any source will do — a power bank, a laptop or a car charger. The indicator on the battery glows red while charging and green when full. Over USB-C it is full in about 2.5 hours.

The chip watches over-charge, over-discharge, over-voltage, over-current, short circuit and overheating, and switches to trickle charging once full.
