The K&F Concept PL-EOS R adapter lets you mount PL-mount lenses on Canon RF-mount (EOS R) cameras. It is purely mechanical: you focus manually on the lens, with no autofocus or aperture control, and the lens focuses all the way to infinity. A brass mount with a rotary lock holds even heavy cinema lenses firmly and without play.

PL cinema lenses on Canon EOS R cameras

With the PL-EOS R adapter you can mount professional PL-mount cinema lenses on Canon RF-mount (EOS R) cameras. It is made to tight tolerances, so the lens sits firmly and focuses all the way to infinity. It transmits no data; focus and aperture are set manually on the lens.

Brass mount and rotary lock

The brass mount in an aluminium alloy and stainless steel body holds heavy cinema lenses firmly, and the rotary lock secures them against loosening. The connection does not deform even after 100,000 mounting cycles, and the matte interior suppresses light reflections inside the adapter.

Manual focus and aperture

You focus with the ring on the lens while the camera works in aperture priority or manual mode. The aperture is set with the aperture ring on the lens.

Camera settings

Before first use, enable the option in the camera menu that allows the shutter to be released without a lens attached (Release w/o Lens). The camera does not recognise an adapter without contacts and would not release the shutter without this setting.

Compatible cameras

The adapter is designed for Canon RF-mount (EOS R) cameras, for example Canon EOS R3, R5, R5 C, R6, R6 Mark II, R50, R100, RP.
