49 mm filters on the Ricoh GR

The Ricoh GR lens has no filter thread. The UV filter for the Ricoh GR goes on the camera first, the 42–49 mm step-up ring screws onto its thread, and the Black Mist 1/4 filter — or any other 49 mm filter or cap — goes on the ring. The UV filter protects the lens every day, while the Black Mist 1/4 softens highlights and skin for a more filmic look.

The set brings together the filters most often used with this kit, so they need not be bought one at a time and all mount the same way. Exactly what is included is listed below. The filters can be used individually, depending on what the scene calls for. The surface repels water and grease, so drops run off and fingerprints wipe away without smears; the coating also stands up to cleaning in the field.
