The Libec TH-650X is the lightest Libec tripod system for small video and photo cameras: a head with continuous friction control and lock, an Arca-Swiss compatible plate and 2-stage legs with a mid-level spreader. It carries 3 kg, weighs 2.7 kg and adjusts from 71 to 155.5 cm. The head fits a 65 mm ball or a flat base, and a carrying handle comes standard.

Friction with one knob

At 2.7 kg, the TH-650X is the lightest Libec tripod system. It still offers a dual head base, three sets of accessory threads and a carrying handle.

Thanks to extensive weight reduction, it achieves an astonishing weight of 2.7 kg / 5.9 lb, and combined with its compact size, it boasts exceptional mobility. Despite being equipped with numerous features such as the Dual-head structure, accessory ports and a carrying handle, it offers unprecedented cost performance.

Integrated continuous friction control and lock. This system integrates continuous friction control and locking functions for both pan and tilt movements. By rotating the knob, users can adjust the friction of the pan and tilt movements to achieve the ideal camera work. Furthermore, reaching the end of the lock knob’s rotation conveniently locks pan or tilt movements.

Evolved head movement. By redesigning the head structure from the ground up, the pan and tilt mechanisms and the counterbalance structure have been revamped. This allows for smoother and more natural movements, especially at the start and finish of pan and tilt movements.

Arca-Swiss compatible plate. This product features an Arca-Swiss compatible plate, a welcome feature for users with photographic backgrounds. The plate is 95 mm / 3.7" long with a total slide range of 125 mm / 4.9", making it easy to balance cameras with big telephoto lenses. The screw-type lock on the right side of the plate securely fastens the user’s valuable equipment.

Super lightweight. The weight has been reduced by a further 600 g / 1.3 lb from the already lightweight previous model, making it the lightest Libec tripod system at 2.7 kg / 5.9 lb. Combined with its compact size, it offers exceptional mobility.

Convenient carrying handle. The carrying handle dramatically improves portability and is not an option – it comes standard. It can also be removed if not needed.

Easy-to-use legs. From an ergonomic perspective, the shape of the flip locks and the mid-level spreader has been redesigned. The leg tips have been modified with integrated rubber feet and a mechanism that prevents the leg tubes from coming loose. This smart tripod can be used for a long time with minimal maintenance.

Accessory ports for added convenience. The base of the tripod has three sets of 1/4" and 3/8" threads, which make it easy to attach accessories such as monitors or lights more stably.

Dual-Head mechanism. This mechanism allows quick attachment to both 65 mm ball tripods and flat base equipment. With the new dual-base design, the head can also be attached to sliders, skater dollies and photo tripods.

TH-650X counterbalance chart. The chart shows the camera weight the fixed-counterbalance head keeps in balance depending on the height of the centre of gravity.
